I am an active duty Marine that finally got to bring my new boat out after deployment. The previous owners last ran this boat on this very lake last fall. This spring I just bought the boat and after doing so I cleaned it up and ran clean water through the entire motor. So knowing that the motor is clean as a whistle I drove almost 2hrs to get to this lake. After a short inspection I had to drop my engine and literally a cup of the clean water leaked out and this lady Ann W. failed me. I was in shock when she told me I failed the inspection. Not only did I fail but I had to wait 8 DAYS to come back to reinspect. I said well I can just drive around the corner and make sure any water is out and she said it doesn't matter you already failed. The signature although unreadable looks like an Ann Winston. If you see an Ann employee ask for someone else to inspect your vessel. We drove 5hours today and wasted about $50 in gas just to be told we can't come into the park because of literally a few ounces of CLEAN WATER that came out of my motor. I even explained to Ann that I just thoroughly rinsed my motor out and she did not care. We had to turn around and drive all the...

I was really disappointed that there was four people in the one tollbooth when we drove up and there was a lineup of cars so we probably waited almost 30 minutes to get in. There’s plenty of parking in. It was a really nice time in September after the long weekend to visit because it was quiet for visitors There was still a few people swimming in the lakes and a couple of kids feeding the ducks. The “Gen store” has a few items but come prepared with what you need for the day. The garbage along the shore is unfortunate. We found a lot of fishing string line and I wouldn’t walk in the water without shoes on. There was too many beer, bottle caps, and broken glass. It would be a nice place to bring paddle boards as it’s relatively calm and the boats seem to...
