Too cool, love history. Read your history the go. You have to wear a mask, so a big thanks to all you NON VAX people. Sad to think this was the end of the indigenous way of life. You need to remember the Hollywood movies aren’t a true account of what really happened. Those two days were when the real good beat the evil force. It was called Custard’s last stand, he got what he described. It truly was the the indigenous people who had the last stand. There first and last victory over the conquering army. They got pushed into someone’s else’s idea of how they should live. We need to remember our history so we don’t repeat it.

An interesting memorial with a few signs to help you understand more about what happened here. The museum at the bottom of the hill has a lot more information so I'd suggest starting there. Many of the bodies that used to be buried here have since been moved to other cemeteries around the country, but this is still a nice memorial to the last major battle of this conflict.

This was my first visit, I recommend visiting the visitor center first. Wear a hat and sun screen when walking in the area. The memorial is maintained well. I high recommend adding this to your bucket list of places to visit.

Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument preserves the site of the June 25 and 26, 1876, Battle of the Little Bighorn, near Crow Agency, Montana, in the United States. It also serves as a memorial to those who fought in the battle: George Armstrong Custer's 7th Cavalry and a combined Lakota-Northern Cheyenne and Arapaho force. Custer National Cemetery, on the battlefield, is part of the national monument. The site of a related military action led by Marcus Reno and Frederick Benteen is also part of the national monument, but is about 3 miles (5 km) southeast of the Little Bighorn battlefield. It was a very...

I visited here on the 146th anniversary of the battle. I was brought here after having read Custer's autobiography. Standing at this memorial, looking off to the S-SE, I could see the river fork out from which hundreds of braves bore down on what was left of the 7th Cav. I looked off at the wooded ridge to the north, & wondered if they must have looked back & considered in desperation retreating back to...
