Stepping into Casa Rinconada felt like a journey back in time, offering a profound connection to this ancient Pre-Columbian civilization. This site is particularly interesting because of its remarkable layout. Each great house at the site is oriented along the four cardinal directions relative to the others. Casa Rinconada itself marks the west part of this ancient compass rose, while the great kiva lies to its east, marking the east.
