My visit to Pueblo del Arroyo at Chaco Canyon was quite insightful. It was early morning and among the first visitors of the site, and I noticed a few people diligently working, carefully cleaning parts of the site. It's clear a lot of effort goes into preserving these incredible structures.
One of the most striking features at Pueblo del Arroyo was the prevalence of T-shaped doorways. These unique openings were quite distinctive and seemed to be a recurring architectural element throughout the ruins.
Pueblo del Arroyo, built between AD 1025 and 1075, is position near Fajada Butte and its proximity to Pueblo Bonito which is located approximately 300 meters due east of the site, though it was constructed later. It may have functioned as a multi-story great house and later served as a large kiva complex.
