Rather peaceful park, good for nature hiking, walking, jogging, biking, with some views of Lake Michigan. I would actually rate this park 3.5 if it were an option. Some of the signage warning of an unstable cliff probably should have been in more than one place. I took a nature trail off the paved path to the cliff area and it was fine and then continued along the cliff area on more nature trail until it rounded back to the paved path and saw no warning signs. On my way back to my car I used only the paved path and saw one of the nature paths which led to the same cliffs I had visited had a warning sign only I had not seen it because I turned onto a nature trail before that sign. Everything was fine since I didn't get right to the edge anyway, but someone else, especially children, might. Also, there was a bunch of discarded beer cans up by that cliff point and a used latex glove on the trail. Not the park's responsibility to keep that cleaned as much as it is disrespectful guests but still knocks my review down a bit. Overall, the park was pretty peaceful and offered a lot of bird views and sounds, some butterflies and lots of woodsy trees to experience and get shade (some mosquitos on the nature trails will find you if you stand still too long and you might hit some spider silk now and then on the paths), with occasional speedboat motoring from people enjoying the lake and distant sirens and a little motorcycle traffic reminding you that the city is nearby. I encountered only a few people on foot and several bicyclists on the paved path. Most folks were plenty courteous. The paved path winds past a golf course on one end and near a senior living center on the other end. There is a dog exercise area right next to the senior living center and there was one port-a-potty in that parking lot. Otherwise, I didn't see any other facilities. I got a 3.33 mile walk going from the dog exercise parking lot to the golf course parking lot and back. It was nice to explore and take in some different...
