First and foremost I'm going to say that if you or a buddy have an RC crawler of any kind, this is the place to be and you need to BRING IT HERE NOW!! Fun dirt hill climbs in the upper section but go to the lower park section first! Locate rocks in several areas down there, look to find lines, then proceed to kill them. duh. haha. and you're welcome. 👍😎 More... It's an awesome almost hidden place in Cupertino that's nestled in a finger of the Santa Cruz Mountain foothills that tries to creep it's way toward De Anza. Sitting East of and just below the Steven's Creek Res. It never made it to the college and a part of the mountains end right here, in what became a hidden gem for those of you who have known about Linda Vista. This part of the hill was stopped dead in it's tracks by roadways and nice houses in this here wealthy neighborhood. This quaint little park packs a punch as it's better than most other bigger parks around. What makes this place unquiec is it's built into the side of a little mountain with muti-levels of playgrounds (3 playgrounds total) and 2 bbq picnic areas that give it character and make it feel more spacious but yet still feels semi-private. It offers abundant shade cover on hot days and many picnic tables themselves are in shady spots too, so no worries cuz you'll still have a cool place to chill even if you forgot your folding/camping chair at home ok. Of course decent amount of parking...30 or so spots + 2 handicap conveniently located near the well maintained restrooms. There are nice wide paved trails that weave around the park, giving easy access for everybody no matter if you crawl, walk or run. A grass area large enuff to toss the frisbee around, play catch, flag football or even Soccer. Another wide open area is just past the field if you need more space for other types of activities and or events? Although I don't know if permits are required for...
Read moreThis is a very small park, no soccer or baseball field, built on three levels with separate play areas for big kids and little ones. There's a good- sized picnic area for groups/ families, and two restrooms. There's a large grassy lawn divided into an off- leash area, and a general play space. The grass is well kept, no bald or muddy patches. There's also a paved path the runs around the entire park perimeter which is well- used by walkers/joggers, and a wide dirt trail that runs from the park along the golf course, and comes out on McCllelan across from the ranch park. It's quiet, well-maintained, and never overly crowded. Perfect small neighborhood place to...
Read moreIf you need 2+ picnic tables, there’s a large area that has about 8 picnic tables around a large shared grill. The grill is large and deep, so suggest at least using a whole bag of charcoal. Otherwise, there are single picnic tables with smaller, dedicated grills that don’t require as much charcoal. All the picnic areas have great shade, a couple areas are located along a fence next to Deep Cliff Golf Course, so it’s kind of nice to watch players from there. The whole park is relatively small, would take about 20 minutes to stroll around the whole park. There’s an open field...
