Enjoyed a very easy flat walk on some pretty trails, though some were taped off with "dangerous area" signs near parts of the creek. Saw a deer and squirrels and several children acting like animals, so wildlife abounds. The dirt trails lead to cement walks, buildings, parks, pool, a golf course, so you're rarely "escaping" into nature, but it's still nice! There is a section of walkway that goes through a small citrus Grove which is amazing right now! The smells!!!!! Also see that they offer all sorts of interesting programs including 4H-led tours of some cute farm animals. Bathrooms are open seasonally, but the one by the parking lot is year-around I believe although I would recommend going to the bathroom before you arrive just in case!!! Nice place to visit in the...
Read moreA paved trail winds through this long, narrow park. At one end are the local Audobon Society chapter and store, historic buildings, and community gardens and farm. In the middle are a playground and picnic area. The cafe has never been open while I was here; I presume it's seasonal. Beyond that the name of the park changes, but the trail continues through an orchard and past a golf course.
This is a great place to bring toddlers/preschoolers who are riding scooters or little bikes, as they can ride ahead without ever encountering vehicle traffic or people coming from unexpected directions. Restrooms can be found at a few places...
