Stockade Lake — Attraction in Custer

We saw this lake right when we entered the park through the west on 16A and could not believe how peaceful it was.

This is the largest of the 5 lakes in Custer but appears to be the quietest. Our stop had a few picnic benches. They allow fishing, boating and swimming. You can also camp and hike by the lake.

Clean beautiful lake just off the highway friendly for kids and pets.
