Szalay’s is one of my favorite places to visit around this time of year!🍂🌽🎃 They have live music, different food options, pumpkins, fresh fruits/veggies & SO much more! We highly recommend checking them out before they close on October 31st! #ohio #pumpkinpatch #szalaysfarm #clevelandohio #ohiothingstodo

Highly reccommend stopping by Szalays Farm & Market within Cuyahoga Valley National Park not just during fall but all throughout the year! They have such a variety of produce, dairy, meat, herbs, sweets, & much more and at cheaper than grocery store prices! The biggest variety of pumpkins I’ve ever seen anywhere! They also have the cutest area to sit outside and enjoy a snack or meal! Absolutely check it out if you’re passing through the Ohio area! #vanlifediaries #vanlifevlog #fallinohio #cuyahogavalleynationalpark #szalaysfarm

Szalay's Farm & Market

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Szalay's Farm & Market, and I must say that it was a delightful experience. Located in a picturesque countryside setting, this family-owned farm and market offers a wide array of fresh produce, delicious baked goods, and a charming atmosphere that truly captures the essence of rural life.

First and foremost, the quality of the produce at Szalay's Farm & Market is exceptional. They offer a diverse selection of fruits and vegetables, all grown locally and harvested at the peak of freshness. From juicy tomatoes to crisp lettuce and sweet corn, every item I purchased was bursting with flavor and had that unmistakable farm-to-table freshness. It was evident that they take great care in ensuring that only the best quality produce makes its way onto their shelves.

In addition to the produce, Szalay's Farm & Market boasts a delightful bakery section. The aroma of freshly baked bread, pies, and pastries fills the air as soon as you enter. I couldn't resist indulging in some of their homemade pies, and I was not disappointed. The flaky crusts and mouthwatering fillings were truly a treat for the taste buds. It's evident that the bakers at Szalay's have a passion for their craft and take pride in delivering delicious, homemade goods.

The market itself is a joy to explore. With its rustic charm and friendly staff, it feels like stepping into a bygone era. The layout is well-organized, making it easy to navigate and find what you're looking for. They also have a variety of other products available, such as local honey, jams, and handmade crafts, which add to the overall charm and appeal of the place.

What sets Szalay's Farm & Market apart from other similar establishments is the sense of community it fosters. The owners and staff are warm, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. They are always ready to offer advice, share stories, and make you feel like a part of their extended farm family. It's a refreshing change of pace from the impersonal nature of large supermarket chains.

Overall, my experience at Szalay's Farm & Market was nothing short of fantastic. It's a place where you can escape the hustle and bustle of city life, connect with nature, and enjoy the simple pleasures of fresh, locally grown food. Whether you're looking for high-quality produce, delectable baked goods, or a charming country experience, Szalay's Farm & Market is a must-visit destination. I highly recommend it to anyone in search of an authentic...

I went to visit this farm for the first time and I will never be back!!!! This older gentleman in a coral shirt which was a worker came and harassed a group of younger kids yelling at them from the sounds of it their family worked for the farm and they were getting some free hotdogs which they said they have came for years and their father works for the Szalays and the guy in the corral shirt started screaming at them that they had to pay. The young lady said she had zero problems paying for the items but she didn’t know because they have never had any issues before and instead of having a calm conversation with them he screamed and got the cops. The disrespect from that worker was awful. I’m sorry to those kids who got screamed like that. Your father shouldn’t work for that company you did not deserve that at all and if your father does work for that company he should get some free hot dogs!!!! It’s a damn hot dog. The owners/managers should be assumed of that worker and he deserves to be fired for the way he treated those kids and I really hope you guys apologize to...

I feel a little bad about thinking this place was meh, because it sounds great on paper. Great local food products! Right off the tow path! Totally complements the farming history of the Cuyahoga Valley! But as a couple of tourists on bicycles passing through, there weren't a lot of realistic buying choices. I mean, I suppose we could have bought some sweet corn to chuck into our backpacks, but it would have been tricky to cook at the hotel. And while the fruit was probably tasty, it was questionable how much of it was local, and how much was shipped in from elsewhere and marked up to kooky tourist prices. We did think about grabbing a pie and taking it for a picnic, but the place was cash only, and we rarely travel with cash anymore. (I mean, everyone takes cards now - even the scenic railroad, which charges $5 for a hop-on Explorer ticket.) They do have an ATM in the corner, but we didn't want a pie badly enough to pay the fees. So we wandered, took a photo, and kept on riding to Peninsula. I feel like this place has the potential to be really amazing, but it's just...
