Zube Spray Park — Attraction in Cypress

We love this park. The splash pad is large with lots of tables and canopies, and the playground is huge with lots of unique items for kids to play on and practice balance and coordination. There's even a large covered area with plenty of exercise equipment for adults to use.

I deducted a star for 2 reasons:

The ground for the splash pad is all concrete. It would be nice if it was rubberized so that when kids inevitably fall they have a padded landing, and

There is no canopy covering the playground, nor is there mature tree cover like the old section of Zube park. Which means by about 11 or so the slides are so hot they're barely useable.

Other than those two items, this is an excellent, well maintained park. The kids love it and consider it a special...

I took my daughter there yesterday she is 2. She really loved the splash pad and we didn't have any issue with her slipping or falling.some of the water spouts did not work very well but all of The main attractions did. That's kinda expected when you go to a FREE splash pad. We loved it. The playground was awesome as well. The reflex thing is awesome idk why ppl are complaining about that because a child shouldn't have any accident as long as the parent is paying attention and HELPING the child walk across it. Of course there is always the annoying parents that sit on then bench and don't play with the kids so that can cause some of the kids to get it rowdy....

Some of the sprinklers often turn off or stop working for no apparent reason, and as far as I can tell, there's no way to check what's working before you go. There's been plenty of times when my daughters been hyped up for the splash pad then disappointed because the big bucket in the middle isn't working. Also the three water fountains near the splash pad are all turned off, at least at the time of writing this, so make sure you bring plenty of your own water or you won't last long. However, these are pretty small complaints for something that's free and open to the public. The shaded pavilions are nice and the restrooms are always clean and maintained, which...
