First of all don't confuse this for the splash pad. The splash pad parking lot is about 5 minutes away. With that said there are still 2 jungle gyms for kids to play on but the real winner of this park is the soccer fields, jogging track with workout stations, and the newly installed disc golf course. The disc golf course doesn't have any maps yet and at first the layout looked erattic but I believe if you hug the right side and make the turn back at the water treatment plant and pond. I spent time jogging the trails and trying to figure out the layout of the disc golf course and got a good workout. Between this park and the splash pad that shares the same acreage I got 4 miles out of it and could do more with the loops. The restrooms at this location were pretty putrid. There is a lot of parking, but parking is not laid out in the best manner to the fields and the fields themselves are not well labeled. At the midfield stripe there are 4x4 posts with green numbered signs about eye level off the ground but these can be obscured by spectators.
The fields are decent and fairly well maintained but the surface is not smooth or true in many spots. But what can you expect from public fields?
There are bathroom facilities available and sometimes concessions available, but not always. I prefer we play at Burroughs or Dyess to Zube, but you get...
Read moreIts a park with some soccer ball courts and a park for kids. The park is a decently big one and we took our own base ball bat amd balls to the park. You could play there as long as there are no practice matches happening. This place enough trees to give you some shade on bright sunny days. They have benches, where you can sit and eat and make a picnic out of it. There is also a closed sitting area in the park where you can celebrate birthday parties. I will definitely consider my kids next birthday here!
It is right next to the Houston area live Streamers. It is on the other side of the park. Their trains are really nice. Kids were excited...
