I was really glad this trail was here when my brother and I moved into our fathers cabin for a summer. We did it almost every day sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. It would be nice if the section between the end and the parking lot was not as much of a street walk. Read moreReally pretty lake. No gasoline engines allowed so its great for kayaking. Unfortunately, the lake is fished out. There may be fish in there but I've never caught any and only seen one huge grass carp. The walking trail is really nice. Its a good workout if you're in medium physical condition like most of us. Read moreIf you start on dam side, first mile and 1/2 is relatively easy-ish, but 2nd half of the trail is super terrainy. Stopped maybe 2 or 3 times, not for very long, took us almost 2 hours to hike. DID NOT CARE FOR THE VERY END, TRAIL IS RIGHT NEXT TO ROAD, and have to be careful of some holes in grass that you can't see. Almost twisted ankle.
