What an amazing experience that morphed into something truly above and beyond because of the exceptional staff that makes you feel like family — not customers. First, I was impressed when I walked inside what I ignorantly assumed would be a tackle box shop but instead stepped into a high end gift shop (complete with a nice cigar selection) plus a lovely seating area with awesome couches. I felt like I was in an upscale hotel lobby. Second, I wasn’t looking forward to changing into my swimsuit in what I assumed would be a dirty, 120 degree restroom (not an ounce of tomboy in me and so many preconceived notions). Not so!!! There is a huge, immaculate, air conditioned restroom with top of the line fixtures, awesome lighting, several stalls and even a shower available for use. Everything, and I do mean everything, about Sapphire Bay Marina is focused on attention to detail, making sure the customer is more than satisfied and just good old fashioned hospitality. The boat was pristine, being on the lake FAR exceeded my expectations, the water was clean and cool for swimming and it was just an all around perfect day. Lake Ray Hubbard & the Rockwall/Rowlett area is the up and coming place to keep your eye on. Great things are happening here with so much more to come. I highly recommend Sapphire Bay Marina. Do yourself a favor & reserve a boat for the afternoon so you can say you visited this Marina way back in 2020 before it was really on the map...because it’s definitely coming! The development is underway & there are some insanely exciting opportunities awaiting. 5+ stars. Thanks again for a most memorable afternoon!! Best of luck for the future, Mr. Hartman. You gained a lifelong customer in me. Can’t wait for my next visit...
Read moreBeware of your car being towed. I was there last night upon invite from extended family who are members at Marina. Car was towed on Fourth of July while family was watching fireworks. Had to pay $321.74 to get it out of an impound that only takes cash or Zelle. Towing company said they only tow unless someone from the Marina gives them a call. Said it was “upper management” when I went there to pick it up at 10p. Car was parked at 3p on sidewalk. Towed sometime before 8p same day. Signs are ambiguous. Another person’s car was impounded as well from the same spot but did not have the means to pay for his car. Could have been more ppl affected. Marina security guard said she never called. As you see from the photos attached, I am parked simply on the sidewalk. Also, the green tag on my truck is not even filled out.
UDPDATE: Owner says this was not called in by the Marina, but the Development and these are separate. Well the owner should read the invoice I attached because it clearer states “authorized by Sapphire Bay Marina”. Also, better tell the Development to remove the Marina language off their sign then. As it clearly says Sapphire Bay MARINA. See pic I just added. Not separate. Glad the lack of accountability can be seen by...
Read moreWe acquired a boat slip by paying the original renter the remainder of the term which ended March 31st. The marina had us fill out a new application so they had all of info to transfer everything over. Since the storm destroyed the slip, the marina was refunding the rent for the month of March. Found out they sent the refund to the original renter since they weren't going to transfer the agreement over until April 1st. What was the point of filling out an application to transfer when they had no intention of of doing anything until April?! They said they aren't going to do anything about it! Talk about bad business practices! I'm so glad we aren't...
