I attempted to call the office multiple times and no one there ever pick up the phone. We have been living here for almost a year now, but it’s always something going on. When we first moved here, we came from out of state both my mother and I just to be told that we cannot move in on the date agreed on the contract because the apartment was not ready and that the office did not get a proper communication because Patrick was not there and did not let them know. Thanks God my cousin lives near by and we could spend the night there and our stuff we’re not getting here until the next day. The front desk lady, she was pregnant at that time was very nasty about it. We brushed it off because moving was already a lot. Throughout our time here, we experienced roaches everywhere in our apartment and mind you we just moved here. There were ants as well. We were told the ants were currently a big issue with the outside of the property and they were trying to work on resolving it. The roaches never stopped and regardless of how many times we let the office know they did nothing, but said pest control will come by. Pest control would not show up and we had to follow up if they end up showing up they will spray something and never come again. We spent so much money to fight the roach invasion but it was a waste because it was a building issue. Than we had gnats and fruits flies, we do not leave fruits outside and we clean everyday. When I let the office know again because we had a 2 years old at that time and these flies were getting on her foods and stuff. The office lady response was I had the same issue at home it’s the season! Basically deal with it, we also spent so much money to resolve the issue but again it was a building issue. They decided to do something about it after so many residents complained about it by shutting down the trash chute. The issue I am currently having is we are paying $35 every month for valet trash picking but the guy who picks up the trash is the pettiest person you can ever come across to. Per the rules you can have two bags out in the trash can, which we did he picked the one on top threw it in our front door, and took only the one at the bottoms. Like are we in high school? What is this nonsense? And we follow instructions by making sure the bags are closed and everything but this guys does not work. Even tho trashes are supposed to be picked up 7days a week. They only show up whenever they want to. The office never try to resolve anything besides multiple attempts to get them on the phone about this. No answer. Our only regret is ever renewing our lease because it’s close to my job, we should have know better. If you are considering to move here, PLEASE DO NOT DO IT! This is not where you want to leave and I could give you many more reasons and more pictures! But I will leave to this for now!

The leasing office staff is wonderful and they hold resident gatherings weekly - food trucks, wine nights, brunches, etc. The apartment is QUIET - throughout my 3 years living here I remember frequently thinking about how quiet the property was. While walking my dog, I'd see dogs barking and pounding the windows from their unit at us and never hear a thing. I may have just been fortunate to have great neighbors, but my unit was always silent. No noise from TVs, kids, running, etc. Aside from the occasional tenants who don't care about where they live (which you'll find anywhere), the place is kept clean and maintenance is super responsive. There are no pest issues - but keep in mind, living right on the water will bring its own exterior pest issues which may be too much for some. The water attracts mosquitoes, mayflies, spiders, etc - something that I didn't expect simply because it never crossed my mind as I had never lived on the water before. Again, I never had a single issue with pests inside my apartment, just on the balcony throughout certain times of the year. This is a super pet friendly community which is very important to me. I managed a local shelter for 10 years and we held a few adoption events there throughout my residency. My only cons or complaints have to do with other residents rather than the staff or apartment itself, which include people trashing the place (can't really blame the apartment for people who choose to live like trash) and stealing packages (which carriers are instructed to not leave out, but they do at times anyways). If people have something negative to say about Reveal I can only assume they were penalized or fined in some way for not abiding by the rules. If I venture back into Rowlett at any point looking for an apartment, I would absolutely move back into Reveal. Moving was a work influenced decision and I was very upset to leave...I even waited to put in my notice until the last day just in case something changed, but it ultimately didn't. If you're looking for a place to live that's fun, welcoming and relaxing - you won't be disappointed here!

Don’t be fooled by the staff, of course they need to make a living so they have to put on a front in order to get people to rent. My vehicle got broken into 4 months ago, they shattered the window and I had to pay out of pocket $311 to get it fixed. Unfortunately the cameras “don’t work” and they weren’t able to pull up any footage. Another vehicle was actually stolen the same night. Other tenants told me that they have been told “the cameras don’t work but we are working on them”, a few months back when their cars have been messed with. They LIE and don’t care. We went downstairs to show the staff footage of 2 individuals who were attempting to break into cars. AGAIN, they didn’t care and said “wow, yea here’s the managers email, he’s not here right now”. No one ever answers the phone in the office, the manager is never there and never answers emails or never returns calls. I was charged a violation fee without actual evidence, when I called the office or went down there , again … “the manager isn’t here but I’ll send him a message.” The violation was charged to my rent bill without my permission, that’s wrong and they never returned my call when I left a voicemail. The whole building is dirty, smelly, the outside is very filthy, especially the parking garage by the elevators , as much as we pay, the place should be damn near spotless. Luxury living? More like filthy living. Almost every door does not work, so it’s actually not “safe”, since anyone can come in without a key. One door downstairs doesn’t even have a door knob. I have pictures. Last but not least, I was there 2 years, have paid my rent every month, why the hell is the rent going up to almost $2000 for a 1 bedroom if I were to sign another year to stay? The prices are absurd and for the place to look and the management to be so trash, yea not worth it. I’m am officially out of there!!! Please do your research before signing a lease here!!!

The actual worst management I have ever experienced in my life. Inept is the only word that sums it up. This is going to be a lengthy review because so much happened during our time there and we only lived there for 6 months. From the get-go this place was hard work. It took me weeks of calling and emailing to get our lease sent over to us after we paid our deposit. We were moving from out of state so we could not just go up to the office. They do not answer the phone. It takes multiple emails and days to get a response. On the day we moved in they made us wait 2 hours with all of our stuff and cat in the U-Haul because they said I did not have renters' insurance when I had actually already emailed them the policy. They even went so far as to make me sign up for another policy through this random online agency and said they would refund me. Took 3 months of me having to ask for that refund. Moving day was a nightmare. They have nowhere for U-Haul's to go and the doors are not big enough to get big furniture through so our couches tore trying to get through the door. Then our stuff was stolen in the hallway. I went down to the office and was told there was nothing they could no because there are no cameras in any of the hallways.

Other major issues we had with this place. Every exterior door was broken. You are supposed to only have access with a key fob but none of them worked so anyone could just walk into the halls of every building. Our building door was literally off of its hinges half the time and stayed wide open. Last week a man who did not live at Reveal gained access through the broken exterior doors and held his girlfriend hostage. There were always cars being stolen and broken into. There are "cameras" in the parking garage, but they do not work. They do not require background checks. I woke up one night to sirens in the parking garage and saw officers had a man at gunpoint. The garage gate that allows residents into the parking garage was broken for about 6 weeks. They shut the pool in peak summer due to "maintenance" but after doing some asking around it was because they had not obtained the proper pool license from the city and was operating the pool illegally. The parcel lockers never worked. This resulted in delivery drivers dropping off packages out in the open or in the office which no one was ever at. I had 2 packages stolen and the office told me there was nothing they could do about it. I don't know maybe fix the lockers? There was always trash piled outside of the chutes and the hallways stunk of trash.

Fast forward a few months and me and my husband unexpectedly have to move to another country due to circumstances out of our control. We asked if we could have our termination fee waived as we would have to break our lease and we were denied. Fair enough. Although, it is worth mentioning that they do not have the proper procedure or paperwork for this situation. We spoke to Caitlin who was the assistant manager at the time and asked if there was any way we could set up a payment plan. She agreed (in writing) to a 6-month payment plan and then 3 months into said payment plan sent us to collections for non-payment.

This place has caused us so much stress over the last year and it makes me sick that after all of these issues we still had to pay these people almost three grand. Please do not let the amenities fool you. On the outside it looks so nice but it is truly a nightmare of a place to live. Please do not make the same...

*The parking situation here is not being enforced by your staff. Last night I ran into some of your staff that left the parking gate open because it was 'jamming'. However, upon further speaking with your employee that opened the gate, she said that it was either leave it open or have someone drive through it. It is your employee's inaction and honest laziness that allows people to think that the rules and regulations of this place are optional. There are residents who keep the sensor tag for the gate in thier car and hand it over to thier friends and people who are not on the lease and do not live here to get in. The policy should be that a car cannot be allowed in without a sensor tag, and if there is a car in there without a sensor tag they should be towed. These apartments are not cheap, and I am not going to be quiet about your staff's inabilities. *

I submitted this complaint to the corporate office and that same day I got a notice about taking my shelving unit off my porch. It's quite funny how my shelving unit has been on my porch for the last eight months I lived here and now that I am complaining about the inactivity of the staff and sporadic regulation enforcement I get a notice about furniture that is technically porch furniture and is allowed in my lease THE VERY SAME DAY. It's fine, I removed the shelf, but as a future resident please note that grills are not allowed on porches and yet grills are all over the place. Someone set fire to the ground in front of thier apartment with the grill...and yet, it is still here. Bikes are not allowed on the porches and yet bikes are everywhere. Please note the passive aggressive retaliation and how this management chooses to manage.

The location is beautiful. The apartments are beautiful and brand new, no issues on anything in the apartment. I do love living on the lake...but that's the only reason to move here. If you want to live around here, there are about three other apartment complexes on the lake to take a look at built within the last 15 years and still looking wonderfully brand new.

Parking might be a small issue for some. That's understandable. But I personally know of a situation where $300 worth of items had been stolen out of someone's car. A very large reason I moved here was safety. They sold me on the key fob and locked doors and the codes and the gated parking. There are doors that haven't locked in months, that are open at all times. I'm a woman who works long hours late into the night as a restaurant manager, and walking through a large parking structure past cars closer, and thus safer, to the actual apartments that don't have proper tagging to even park in the structure makes my $1300 I pay a month for a one bedroom apartment feel sadly wasted. The doors that don't lock make my $1300 a month feel wasted.

For the price...go elsewhere.

Edit just to clarify. I have spoken to the staff about all these problems numerous times. I even have the towing company's number. I have called in cars and nothing has been done. Another resident has told me that one office worker said that they didn't want to deal with all the people that would be mad about getting towed. And you know a problem is bad if complete strangers are commiserating together about what they notice are the same problems. I do love living here, the maintenance and the location are wonderful, but I can get the same thing for a couple hundred dollars less ten minutes across the lake....

Our experience was extremely unique because it was in the midst of COVID-19. In preparation for our move to Dallas mid March we set up several apartment and rental home tours in the community 2 weeks in advance. On the day of our tours late March we arrived to these facilities many cancelled right on the spot without warning, phone call or email. They said they would not be doing tours anymore due to COVID 19 (as per the stay in place mandate finding a home is considered to be essential so I was shocked by this news). We really wanted an in person tour of the community and a virtual tour wasn’t enough especially with the fact we plan on calling this our home for the next 2 years and expect to have many life changes unfolding soon.

Ally was the ONLY consultant who did not cancel on us. We used social distancing measures during the tour (i.e. protective gear before touching surfaces and used hand sanitizer to ensure the decrease of spread). We were highly appreciative.

Fast forward to now. We revisited this same facility to finalize our decision. The Towers at Bayside has been the model example of how to conduct ones property during this unprecedented times. They have 2 options self guided tours or virtual. Mind you the other facilities are still not open and only offering virtual tours even after the stay at home mandate has been lifted. They also cannot give a clear date when they will reopen or offer self guided tours.

Julia has been our contact person moving forward and she has been great she has been in constant communication and following up with our initial consult. We really wanted a smooth process and answers to our detailed question which she has provided very well (even through text messaging!). In one day during our tour we literally checked out 4 units to find the right fit and then revisited our top 2 to be sure. She was always in good spirits and more than happy to help us make the right decision. We even mapped out the best route I could take to get to my place of work quickly in case of an emergency.

My criticism would be in regards to the layout of the parking structure it’s not horrible but it’s not constructed like most buildings were there is access to each floor from the structure.

Also the application questions could be updated they asked some antique questions and added unnecessary steps. What surprised me was that many people have complained about this yet nothing has been done. I consider Towers at Bayside to be a progressive community and expected a high level of customer service. It’s not bad don’t get me wrong but it’s not great! They can definitely improve some processes.

Lastly the units do not have a utility closet (i.e. where you can hang your coats, store misc items etc). The layouts are limited but still functional.

Don’t worry the spectacular lakeside views has made everything obsolete at this point lol!!

Overall the experience has been seamless and we are excited to make this our new home and the 6 weeks free rent + 500 gift card makes this deal...
