Read moreIt's always busy after work and on weekends which is why we love it. They have dog water fountains inside the dog park, a dog washing station, a lake swimming station, lots of grass and trees. Unfortunately it does get a little muddy after it rains and there are 2-3 mud pits that my dog avoids thankfully. I've seen lots of dogs dive right in and get wrecked with mud. Fortunately there's the dog washing area in the large dog park so after the mud or the lake you can rinse it all out. Most people and dogs are pretty friendly. Some just want to keep to themselves and that's ok.
Sometimes dogs are a bit too aggressive. Not often but we always have our eyes on all of the dogs when they get rowdy. I recommend you do the same if you go here. Every day is different and never know which dogs are going to be there. Never leave your dog unattended. My dog got bit on the head which was a pain to heal up. Just a warning to all puppy parents.
This is my only real complaint. People tend to zone out on cell phones and stop paying attention to their pets. They could pay more attention to cleaning their doggo's poop too. ALSO, there are port-o-potties for humans that are atrocious. Never will I ever step back inside of one.
On a positive note, this is my favorite dog park in DFW. I've met lots of cool people, made lots of new people and puppy friends and my dog LOVES it here. It beautifully scenic, there are benches in the shade to sit down on, it's very active and there's never a shortage of dogs for our dog...
