This spot is perfect if you love being outdoors and enjoying nature without leaving Dallas. The view of the lake is stunning, especially at sunset when the water sparkles.
We can see lots of pelicans and other birds like gulls, coots and terns, which was amazing for a bird lover like me. The area was peaceful, with few people around, making it a great place to relax or have a quiet picnic.
The trails around the lake are perfect for walking or biking. They're well-maintained and easy to follow. It's also a fantastic spot for taking photos because the scenery is just beautiful.
The only downside was that there aren't many facilities like bathrooms or food places nearby, so...

Read moreNice biking, walking, running and some skating trails. The view is nice and relaxing. Any entry from 78 and Loop 12 is awesome. A couple of exits either way and the trails are very open from those exits. Parking is limited in some areas...but, most days you can find a decent spot to park.
