This is the ride that made the trip out to Muskegon worth it. Shivering Timbers. It's as simple as a wooden coaster gets. Big drop at the beginning, a series of straight airtime hills, a turnaround in the middle, and a series of smaller airtime hills on the way back, and a big helix at the end. It's a very simple but fun and effective design. Butter smooth, comfortable, and very fun. Plus it's a very pretty ride, and it's the first thing you see when you enter the parking lot. I'm glad I got to ride this and it made my day.

A hidden gem in the Midwest. One ride on this and your trip to Michigan's Adventure will be made. That's if you can manage to walk away from this beast without wanting to hop back in line over and over, and over again. The speed is unexpected for such a massive coaster. It can be rough, and depending if you get a green or blue car, your experience can change. Imo, front row is the best seat for this. I've never ridden a coaster so many times in a row, this ride is just really special.

Read a lot of the reviews and honestly agree with most of the lower rated ones simply because the carts are loose. There's parts where you did not make contact with the track only to be met with a sudden impact when slamming back onto it. A lot of people who were on the coaster with me at the time scrambled to get off once it was over because of how violent it was. If the carts remained on the tracks, perhaps it would've been a more enjoyable ride? It was indeed fast as heck, though I would not recommend if you enjoy your neck and the rest of your spine not being jostled as if you just suffered a car wreck.

On the more positive side, Wildcat, Shivering Timbers' smaller and, in my opinion, a more stable sister is a fun ride! Actually felt like I could put my hands up...

I love coasters. Love the Maverick and Dragster at Cedar Point. Had heard great things about this ride and was super excited to ride it. Rode it with my friend’s 11 year old. I literally thought I might die on this ride. It was brutal. Rough is an understatement. I felt like I was going to pass out and go into cardiac arrest at the end just from being jerked around so much. My first thought was, oh no, am I getting too old for coasters? A terrible thought to ponder. But to my relief the 11 year old I was with immediately said “I’m never going on that again. I felt like I was going to pass out.” Glad I’m not the only one. And she loved Thunderhawk, as did I. Will never ride this again. They should redo it like Cedar Point did with...
