Dick Jackson had a fabulous idea when he first set out to FINALLY give the youth in this town somewhere to go & something to do. For GODS sake, before that, there wasn't even a park for them to play at!! The people that were in power at the time were older folks whose main concerns were having a good golf course, a good fishing hole & keeping those pesty kids quite & preferably at home. There sure wasn't much for them to do in Dandridge, except get in trouble! That being said, the Field of Dreams was a terrific place for our youth! It will make you smile. You get to see old friends and make new ones. Thanks to all the Staff and Volunteers and especially Mr. Belcher for all his efforts. I don't see his name on anything down there, that's a shame but I know...
