I have a hard time putting the best smoky sauce I have ever had, just because the flavor is incredible by itself. small amounts of sauce bring the smoke flavor to the front and smack your tastebuds around like M Tyson. Dry rub ribs have no equal here in E Tenn. You have to go to Birmingham AL. and nobody wants to go back there. Brisket is amazing. Almost difficult to eat the brisket due to it's incredible tenderness. Face first is the easiest way to get a bite. No lie, it is tender. Southwest coleslaw is unusual to my taste buds. I cannot reconcile how that many flavors come out of such humble ingredients. This is my favorite condiment! The first reason why we chose Smokey Q’s was because on their website it showed a big smoker, which the other bbq places did not. We pulled into a nice large parking lot where we were greeted by a VERY nice lady, who was the owner. She asked us if it was our first time coming to Smokey Q’s, we said yes, she walked us over to the menu, went through everything including how all the meats are cooked and each sauce. We ordered the brisket, Brunswick stew plus Cole slaw, and bake beans that were very yummy! All their sides are home made. We enjoyed all the food specially the brisket! It was hands down AMAZING!!! Read moreWe've been meaning to get here since they opened, but we live a few hours away. Was worth the drive though. If we lived closer we'd be coming every weekend. I hit BBQ restaurants everywhere I go. Most places I've been have better brisket than the other options but at this place everything is top notch. I don't usually go for ribs, but they may have been my favorite. We had a group of 8 so we were able to order all the meats and several sides. It was all outstanding. I tried the chicken salad as well. Probably the best I've ever had. The pulled chicken was really good as well, very moist. The baked beans were great as was the creamy cole slaw.
