What an absolute great family friendly place to enjoy nature, relax and take in the quiet surroundings. My children, ages 2-8, love the very large playground with some pretty unique design/play aspects and of course the many farm animals you can not only see but interact with up close too. The grounds are very well maintained and the staff is always helpful and friendly. Being a single mom of girls, I also feel safe and secure when there, including leaving my vehicle in the many parking areas available. It is an amazing place to just spend the whole day at. We are not from the Danvers area but just a short ride down route 1, so within 20 mins tops we are at Endicott park toting our cooler, chairs, blankets, balls, frisbee and so much more to make a day of it. There is plenty of shades areas/large trees to sit under if you need a break from the sun too. Bring plenty of bug spray though for sure. The flying ants and bees come out in droves. That should be expected though with this type of area. Also I've seen many birthday parties going on where they inflate large bounce houses, have over 50 guests attend and so much more. If you are not from the area, you typically must pay a $5 flat rate to park/enter but that is not always consistent or the case but go with the intentions you would have to pay. It may just be during their busiest months, the summer you may have to pay because the past 4 times I went which were spring into the beginning of June recently, I have never paid a dime. They even have a separate area/park just for dogs. Overall though Endicott Park is a great great place.

This is the best park in Massachusetts. If you know if a better park, let me know. There’s a very nice spacious fenced in playground with a portapotty, hand washing station and drinking fountain. It includes swings. There are fields kids can run around in, an exercise loop, several picnic areas with roofs that can reserved for parties. There is a fishing pond (free worms provided at 4pm on Fridays), barns with farm animals (goats, sheep, horses, a cow, chickens, ducks) that kids can get pretty close to ! A big barn with an antique car and indoor bathrooms (clean!), community gardens, a little free library. Hiking trails across the street. You can walk to Glen Magna to see the amazing gardens. Speaking of which, the grounds are impeccably kept up, there are flowers galore, no weeds or trash anywhere! We noticed that a lot of the flowers and plantings are native species. Danvers Recreation runs programs at Endicott Park- yoga, camps, etc. It costs $4 per car for non-residents to park in this park. Like I said, it’s the best park. A must see! The only thing that would make it better is mountain bike trails, bicycle rentals, free ice cream or a hot tub! 😜

Myself and daughters mother have been enjoying Endicott Park in the Town Of Danvers for approximately ten years and each year we visit around 100 times and each time we enjoy talking to Colby the cow who has seemed to warm up to us rather nice. Over the last six years we’ve really stepped up our visits and bonded with Colby thanks to our daughter and the results can be seen in my latest video on YouTube tilted Colby The Cow at Endicott Park in Danvers. Colby is such a wonderful cow who love attention in the most friendliest way and get this…he love to run. We take Colby on a run each time we visit Endicott Park. The deep thud on the ground with his heavy warm breath is a reminder how strong and fast Colby really is so please don’t enter his territory by climbing the fence. Although Colby is a nice and very well behaved cow he may not understand his strength during close contact and his play could be your boo boo. So please respect the fence and signs posted not to feed the animals at Endicott Park or any farm unless you’ve been given permission by staff or farmer because these animals are on special diets that help keep them healthy and strong just like Colby. Maybe I’ll do a video with Jake and/or Greta once I’ve learned their warming ways. If you decide to visit Endicott Park in the Town Of Danvers there are bathrooms available among other amenities; barn with other animals like Rosie the pig, dog park, children’s park, trails, function hall that can be rented, big areas of grass etc… UPDATE: brought the place down to two stars from five because my daughter won the Shamrock challenge where she had to find all the shamrocks scattered amongst the property. They sent us a video of our name being picked and told us we would get a gift card. We never received the gift card. They lied! I’ll post the emails soon to back up my review.
