Fort Morgan Marina — Attraction in Dauphin Island

I had written these liars twice asking for information regarding transient slips, no responses. So I called directly speaking with the office. I confirmed the rate for my boat as the one on the website. I confirmed availability and that I could put my boat in there.

She was so nice on the phone. On arrival after towing 2,000 pounds of fiberglass for 7 hours down the highway, the slip was available, for 30% more than web price - PLUS - no more buy 5 days get 2 free. When questioned, "oh, we cain't do nothin bout them website prices if we wanted to (and obviously they don't want to)." "We are under new management and don't have nuthin to do with that."

They put a kink in my plans, don't let them put a kink in yours. I understand some of the other services, jet ski rentals, fishing captain, may well be great, no idea, I won't be using them for anything and won't...

This is the worst business that I have ever dealt with. If i could give them zero or negative stars i would. They took my credit card info and said that they would reserve a dry slip for me while my boat was getting new engines on it. I called back to notify them that it would be a little while longer than expected before I get down there due to a back order on a part for my fuel tank. Rachel said that they don't take reservations and that they tore up my paperwork because they didn't think they could accommodate my boat. Why did they tell me they could accomodate my boat, just to take my credit card info!!?? I will tell everyone I know about this stupid ass place and will also blast the restaurant Tacky Jacks associated with it. I'm now doing business with HAPPY HARBOR MARINA! This review is more for a charter they booked us with. We booked Ricochet Charters for today. Arrived at the dock at 5:30 this morning. The captain told us he was waiting to check the weather. Later came back and said we would head out. While we took our kids to use the bathroom, he loaded up the boat and left. Turns out he had booked another group on his own and did not tell the marina. The marina informed us they had already refunded 3 other groups because of the same thing. Now we have only 1 day left, no way to take our kids fishing because everyone is booked, and 3 heartbroken kids.

Update: another captain found out what happened and has offered to take us out. The Marina was great. I just would not recommend...
