If you enjoy history this is an interesting place to stop. Admission is $8/adult and less if you're a child/senior. The fort is very intact and preserved and very cool to explore. You can explore the fort and on your own and learn more of the intricacies at the museum which is small but packed with information. Definitely worth a stop. If stairs are a struggle, it will be difficult to explore the whole fort but you can still see quite a bit without having to do stairs. We even saw dolphins in the bay while we...

19th century military fort with tons of history. Since 1834 Fort Morgan has stood guardian of Mobile Bay. The docent shared so much of Alabama's story while we walked around the grounds. Very interesting topics and was grateful for all those who fought to defend our country. There is a small gift shop, I bought a few items to bring home for friends. If you love history this is a place you should go and learn about when...

This is a great little gift shop at fort Morgan. Make sure you go in after walking around the fort. It makes all the displays and videos in the gift shop make sense. Lots of cool info about the fort in here. It's small enough to be quick but has a bunch of neat little displays. Of course it wouldn't be a gift shop without the shirts, coffee mugs, and miniature cannons. We picked...

Great source of information. The letters from soldiers to their wives are interesting to read. The equipment, uniforms, and history of the building of the fort is interesting enough for a student to do a class project or book report on the subject. The light house would make a good subject for any student to report on in any class.
