After seeing reviews showing people in the water... DO NOT GET IN THIS WATER! IT IS ABSOLUTELY TOXIC! The signs along the road leading up to this even explain how polluted the river is. Please don't expose yourself to the risk of dangerous levels of mercury, lead, arsenic, etc.
The waterfalls are beautiful here, but those noting the color of the water should be aware that it is the result of acid mine drainage and is very toxic. Just up the road there is a large informative sign at the entrance to one of the old mines explaining that there used to be an effective filtration system to collect the pollution, but that it stopped functioning decades ago.

There is a small pull off spot and there is not a great way to get all the way down to the water, but the falls are beautiful and definitely worth the stop if you're already headed to Douglas Falls. I have a Kia Soul and made it fine but i wouldn't risk it on a rainy day. There is a very steep climb down to the falls, not far but you have to use the rope attached to a tree to get there and back. You can see Albert Falls from the road so you dont have to do the climb. Unsure if there was a different path,...
