I love this park. Last summer I broke my foot and had a knee walker to roll around on the greenbelt. I would walk 2-4 miles everyday. I realized how bad the greenbelts in Davis are for people that need assistance and/or use wheeled devices. Bicycles as well. The asphalt has big cracks, and bumps made by tree roots. I almost fell down several times during my walks with wheels. I think it is tricky using a wheeled device if you don't pay close attention to the terrain. A level stretch of cement is located North of Sandpiper, Covell Drainage Channel that runs about 3 blocks. Can be accessed on Sandpiper Drive on the East end at the curve. Read moreA tranquil, beautiful, and large park located in the north Davis. There‘s two playground for kids, lots of open area and walking paths. Grass and trees are well-maintained. It’s a great place for walking, jogging, picnic, playing, or just taking a nap. What I love the most is the middle pond surrounded by reed. There is a shaded picnic area. Nearby is a very fun play structure for the kids. A nice wide bike/walking path takes you to the rest rooms. Along the way you pass by the big pond.
