The perfect FREE spot for family fun! Crystal clear springs and nice cold water to cool off in on a hot day! You may even get lucky and see some of the wildlife! It does get crowded on the in season, especially holidays, so you might want to get there early! Bring your floaties, snorkeling/dive gear, boat, kayak or paddleboard for some great fun!

It is shallow at the "beach" area for the littles to splash around and play. The "beach" area is a decent size if it hasn't rained a lot and the water is low.

The bathrooms have been well kept everytime we've been there. Handicap accessible via ramp to the "beach" area (2-4 handicap parking spots, I can't quite remember!). Parking close to the springs through the gate as well as parking outside the gate if inside is full.

1 Pavilion with multiple grills and tables overlook the "beach" and swimming area. Several trash bins on the "beach" area as well as the pavillion area (let's keep this FREE springs clean!). There are several stainless steel tables with seats attached on the "beach" area. (PLEASE STOP PUTTING THE TABLES IN THE WATER!!!!!) There were 3 in the water last weekend! Perfect place for divers to dive and check out the springs caves as well as training. We've seen both training and casual divers everytime we've went. There is a shower by the boardwalk to rinse off as well as a spot to clean up your dive gear.

The boardwalk goes through the woods to a floating dock to dive or jump off of. There is also a stationary floating dock kind of in the middle of the swim area but off to the side to hang out on, jump off or dock your boat.

I imagine fishing is good also as we see boaters trolling through (there is a boat ramp, just follow the signs) as well as people on land with...

Morrison Springs County Park is one of those special places in Florida that still feels like a hidden gem. Tucked away in Walton County, this spring is a favorite for me! When looking for crystal-clear water and a quiet place this is it. The main attraction is the massive spring basin—about 250 feet across—where the water is a perfect shade of blue!

For swimmers and snorkelers, the visibility is incredible. You can see straight to the bottom, and the sandy floor combined with submerged cypress trees makes for a stunning underwater view.

Scuba divers were present and I believe there are caves and such to explore. The water gets pretty deep.

If you’re not getting in the water, there’s a beautiful boardwalk that winds through the surrounding cypress swamp, offering plenty of shady spots to take in the scenery.

The park has a laid-back, natural feel—no crowds, no commercialization, just a few picnic tables, a boat ramp, and a spacious wooden observation deck where you can relax and watch the water. If you love paddling, you can launch a kayak or canoe and explore the nearby Choctawhatchee River.

Morrison Springs is one of those places that reminds you why Florida’s natural springs...

Beautiful area to swim and kayak with crystal clear water 💧. While the area fills up quickly during the summer and it's best to arrive early, the spring stays very cold year round which is a huge bonus in the summer heat. The scenery is beautiful, there's a small beach for basking, areas to picnic, bathrooms, a rope swing and dock, and a good stretch of river that's perfect for kayaking and paddleboarding. After purchasing a kayak, Morrison Springs was our Maiden voyage and the views were absolutely breathtaking. While the river eventually forks with currents too strong for the average kayaker to overcome, there's a good stretch of river that's calm, surrounded by cypress trees, and natural flora/fauna. It's hidden Florida at its finest. Lots of easy going, friendly people all out enjoying what nature has to offer. And...there's no admission fee. The boat launch made putting our 12 foot kayak in a breeze (just follow the signs), and after kayaking down the generous expanse of river, we tied up to a cypress tree near the swimming area and just relaxed in the sweet summer sunshine. Highly recommend for a relaxing and stress...

Have you ever been to the cold springs? I asked this question in stories the other day and a lot of you wanted more info. So here it is! There are three of these little gems (that I know of) just about 45 minutes north of 30A around Ponce DeLeon, FL. Surrounded by gorgeous cypress trees and a much different landscape than that of 30A, these cold springs produce the most gorgeous bright blue and green water! They are the perfect places to cool off on a hot day as the springs stay a temp of 68 degrees all year. You can go the quick and easy way and park and walk up or you can rent kayaks and canoes and float down the creek until you get to the springs. We have gone both ways and both are fun! I suggest exploring the springs on a weekday as the weekends tend to get quite busy and sometimes aren’t as family friendly as I’d prefer. 1. Morrison Springs County Park (pictured) - is county owned and free to park and play. This is the one where we floated the creek down to the springs. There’s a rope swing for the young or young at heart! 2. Ponce de Leon Springs Sate Park - a small fee to park. I hear there is a platform for jumping off of. 3. Vortex Spring - the only privately owned springs in Florida. This one has 10 slides, diving boards and rope swings. There is an entrance fee per person. #30a #airbnb #oceanlife #coldspring #morrisonsprings #paddleboard #nature #naturegirl #getoutside #floridalife #floridarealtor #bluewater #inletbeach #beachlife #watersports #vacationvibes #30arealtor #familytime #adventure #explore
