The perfect FREE spot for family fun! Crystal clear springs and nice cold water to cool off in on a hot day! You may even get lucky and see some of the wildlife! It does get crowded on the in season, especially holidays, so you might want to get there early! Bring your floaties, snorkeling/dive gear, boat, kayak or paddleboard for some great fun!

It is shallow at the "beach" area for the littles to splash around and play. The "beach" area is a decent size if it hasn't rained a lot and the water is low.

The bathrooms have been well kept everytime we've been there. Handicap accessible via ramp to the "beach" area (2-4 handicap parking spots, I can't quite remember!). Parking close to the springs through the gate as well as parking outside the gate if inside is full.

1 Pavilion with multiple grills and tables overlook the "beach" and swimming area. Several trash bins on the "beach" area as well as the pavillion area (let's keep this FREE springs clean!). There are several stainless steel tables with seats attached on the "beach" area. (PLEASE STOP PUTTING THE TABLES IN THE WATER!!!!!) There were 3 in the water last weekend! Perfect place for divers to dive and check out the springs caves as well as training. We've seen both training and casual divers everytime we've went. There is a shower by the boardwalk to rinse off as well as a spot to clean up your dive gear.

The boardwalk goes through the woods to a floating dock to dive or jump off of. There is also a stationary floating dock kind of in the middle of the swim area but off to the side to hang out on, jump off or dock your boat.

I imagine fishing is good also as we see boaters trolling through (there is a boat ramp, just follow the signs) as well as people on land with...

Morrison Springs County Park is one of those special places in Florida that still feels like a hidden gem. Tucked away in Walton County, this spring is a favorite for me! When looking for crystal-clear water and a quiet place this is it. The main attraction is the massive spring basinโ€”about 250 feet acrossโ€”where the water is a perfect shade of blue!

For swimmers and snorkelers, the visibility is incredible. You can see straight to the bottom, and the sandy floor combined with submerged cypress trees makes for a stunning underwater view.

Scuba divers were present and I believe there are caves and such to explore. The water gets pretty deep.

If youโ€™re not getting in the water, thereโ€™s a beautiful boardwalk that winds through the surrounding cypress swamp, offering plenty of shady spots to take in the scenery.

The park has a laid-back, natural feelโ€”no crowds, no commercialization, just a few picnic tables, a boat ramp, and a spacious wooden observation deck where you can relax and watch the water. If you love paddling, you can launch a kayak or canoe and explore the nearby Choctawhatchee River.

Morrison Springs is one of those places that reminds you why Floridaโ€™s natural springs...

Beautiful area to swim and kayak with crystal clear water ๐Ÿ’ง. While the area fills up quickly during the summer and it's best to arrive early, the spring stays very cold year round which is a huge bonus in the summer heat. The scenery is beautiful, there's a small beach for basking, areas to picnic, bathrooms, a rope swing and dock, and a good stretch of river that's perfect for kayaking and paddleboarding. After purchasing a kayak, Morrison Springs was our Maiden voyage and the views were absolutely breathtaking. While the river eventually forks with currents too strong for the average kayaker to overcome, there's a good stretch of river that's calm, surrounded by cypress trees, and natural flora/fauna. It's hidden Florida at its finest. Lots of easy going, friendly people all out enjoying what nature has to offer. And...there's no admission fee. The boat launch made putting our 12 foot kayak in a breeze (just follow the signs), and after kayaking down the generous expanse of river, we tied up to a cypress tree near the swimming area and just relaxed in the sweet summer sunshine. Highly recommend for a relaxing and stress...
