Eagle Lake Park — Attraction in Del City

Costs $2 to fish and another $2 for boating. This is a no-wake pond, so small motors(2.5hp) and trolling motors are ideal. Small bass buggies and kayaks are perfect for this little lake. People also bring inflatable boats and tubes to get off the bank for family fishing and/or fun.

Currently, May 2019, the lake is over full from the last week of rain. There are catfish, gar, Crappie, bass, hybrid bass in here. There are also snakes and beavers here.

Pavillions for picnicking, public bathrooms, a new boat ramp and a bike-walking trail here. Payment is made on the honor system. Permit payment envelopes are kept in a box between the bathrooms. Slide envelopes into the slot in the wall next to the box.

Not guaranteed to catch any fish on a given day but it's not too big a lake so you may luck up and get a fish or three. The locals here are normally knowledgeable and experienced with fishing here and what baits to use for particular species.

Locals also like to bring their kids here to feed the friendly ducks and geese, so if you need to get rid of old bread or stale chips, this is a good spot to do so.

There are water and land snakes that roam the lake as well. They mind their own business and will run from you if they know you're there. The parking areas for the park are not paved. Some of the less educated locals will bring their pickup trucks to do donuts on the the gravel kicking up rocks at people and cars. So be ware. Protect your kids and...

Nice little lake off Reno in Del City. The turn in is easy to miss as it is between businesses. Beautiful sunset view of downtown OKC.
