I don't get over to this side of the Cape all that much, but I visited nearby Scargo Tower and decided to stop here.

I came in the middle of June when it was still free to park. The parking fees in season are quite steep. It's $25 a day and $30 on weekends, yikes.

The beach looks a lot different than the ones I frequent on the other side of the Cape, but it's still beautiful in a different way. It was insanely windy on the day I visited and sand was flying all over the place. I wanted to take a walk on the beach, but left after a few minutes of taking photos.

Pets are prohibited at this beach from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

They do have a porta potty as you enter the beach, but no snack bars or anything like that.

My favorite part of the Cape for beaches is...

i have been off roading 23 years when the birds needed a place to re populate i was all for it. it is known that they we successfully and then monitors should have been put in place so the off roaders could return again. my walk last week showed so much more beach, i also noticed that there have been life gaurd stand at the opening where our trucks would get on to the beach.it makes me and probably all off roader that LOVED going there sad not to enjoy chapin beach until mother nature takes it, so i will always walk and photograph there and admire the beauty of it.STILL SADDENS ALL OFF ROADER I ASSUME. Anyone wanting a beautiful place to walk, go bring lunch, watch the sunset thats the place and qhen tide is out the end is a very...

It took us 2hrs and 20mts to get to this beach. We waited 44mts on the line for a parking. Husband had gone to their website and said they was only accepting credit cards for purchase of ticket. The valet girl told him only cash. He told her he checked and city hall said only credit card. He was short 15cents. Ticket was $30. We had to go to an atm after waiting 44mts in line to wait 25 mts more. Instead of having updated info or poster at the end of Rd. 🤦🏽‍♀️ People asking if they can have your parking to watch the sunset while you're trying to get your children set in the car to leave. Fell rushed, a little annoying 😑. Other than that, beach is beautiful, alot of space and tide pools 🏖 🐚🦀 for kids. Not full like...

$30 parking fee. This beach is by Mayflower Beach and when we arrived, we grabbed the last parking spot, literally. Arrived before noon. There are two porta potties and a vast beach filled with wading pools, little marshes, and sand dunes. This is a great beach for little kids and babies to explore the shallow pools filled with marine life. Can be a bit windy so be aware when setting up your umbrella. If you keep walking, you’ll reach the beach. Tons of space and where we sat, it felt secluded. Sand is powdery soft but it does get rocky when you approach the shallow water. Water is clear and warm. I was annoyed about paying $30 for parking but this beach was great and we had an awesome day.

A fun beach with a unique tidal system. Watch the tide go out and create sandbars which you can swim or walk to. The water gets shallow and our 2 and 4 year olds felt confident enough to swim for hours. There is only a single portable toilet. No foodshack, no showers, and no other amenities except for life guards. Come early if you want to get a parking spot and expect to pay about $30 on weekend and $25 on weekday.
