Annual pilgrimage to the seconds sale was my most recent visit, where the potters sell their own less-than-perfect creations. It is an event that is not to be missed. We get there 30-60 minutes before the tape barricade is cut down at exactly 9 AM. We gaze from afar, planning which table we will rush to in order to snag the perfect item(s) for our collections. The offerings range from mugs to bird baths, castles to wall plaques, bowls and plates of all sizes and represent glazes of many colors. And all made with skill and attention to detail. The defects are minimal, never interfere with functionality. The gallery is also wonderful, with pottery displayed indoors and out.
