Bullfrog Valley Park — Attraction in Derry Township

My pup and I have been coming here for a long time now. For the most part, the trails are clean. But not all pet owners clean up the poop. The one major thing that bothers me is the people on bicycles. Most of them are curtious and give you a heads up when they are passing you. But sadly, you do have some morons that are beyond clueless and do not have any respect for others. I had one such idiot nearly hit my dog as he tried to pass us on my left. No warning, nothing. So please keep your eyes open and be aware of your surroundings. Otherwise, they are clean for the most part. Beware of occasional construction on the trails. The trail is very different depending on if you go left or right. The right side is out in the open, and to the left is tree covered. We chose to go left. The trail is paved and follows a small babbling Brook. . We walked 1.25 miles out and it was entirely a slow uphill grade. It is a beautiful walk. Do keep your eyes and ears open. It was rainy and windy resulting in several tree limbs falling onto the pathway during our walk. . There appears to be several nature hike paths off of the pathway. They are clearly marked. A nice and beautiful little area situated near a cute little lake. People love to fish in this lake. There is a walking trail goes both ways from the park area. trail is used by walkers as well as bikers. YOu can see lots of families, couples and children near the area during sunny days. Trail goes through wilderness and end up in residential areas. Hershey Medical centre is situated near by.
