So grateful for libraries …. I am 72 and I am So grateful to my father who got us library Cards and made sure we went to the library every week. at the Old West Park library branch…open since 1869….. So many places around the world I visited before I ever flew in a plane..just grateful for libraries! Check with your families and friends Make sure they all have a library card, still really easy to do!.... Your niece's nephews and grandkids let them know how cool a place a library is... I live within walking distance of the Franklin branch library and have nothing but good things to say about it. Nikki Hayter is the. Supervisor, she started As a Librarian at Franklin and moved to another branch and then came back as the Franklin supervisor. The Franklin library is everything a modern library should be, With multiple focuses- families, children with all kinds of events every month, family DVDs, people to help seniors gain access to audio books regular large print books, and get computer help. Adults helped to.get access to computers for job searches, regular reading research, and just plain reading. I am so proud that the library provides a community refrigerator that gets all kids of food for people to take if they need it. I have been visiting, borrowing, using and shopping at this library for 20 years. The staff is helpful, kind, friendly and knowledgeable. They have always gone out of their way to help me find what I am searching for or even made recommendations. This library offers books, CDs, DVDs, periodicals and audio media to borrow, even from other DSM libraries. Every so often they even have free book give-a-ways or a media sale with great prices. Do yourself a favor, take your proprer ID info and get a library card. There is more they offer that I didn't cover...like computer usage, wifi, meeting rooms, kids activities, streaming services, etc. And remember if you are late, just...

Great library with a convient location. The staff are professional and extremely helpful. Bathrooms are always well kept. Quiet reading sections throughout, with comfortable seating. Limited amount of p.c.'s available for on-line use. Printers are available (0.25 per page). Huge supply of reading materials. There is a drive up window for drop-off and pick-up with limited hours. Plenty of handicap parking, and handicap access. It would be nice if they could extend their hours to 9pm. Large children's area, with several presentations available.
