Great hike! Followed the trail heading left (north) from the parking lot. The route I took was not a loop. Up and back was 6km/3.8mi, elevation gained was 465m 1525 feet, highest point was about 820m. Lots of spring flowers along the trail. Some minor over growth and runoff damage on the upper half of the trail. Great view from the top. Good spot to get some exercise, burn a 1000+ calories and escape into the hills for a couple hours.

Very nice walk up, it’s definitely best for the morning to get a good view from the top but overall would definitely go again and would highly recommend it to anyone in Desert Hot Springs.

Great hike, not to long. good view of the beginnings of the desert. Good panaramic view of Jacinto mountain. Straight hike up and straight down. Great self challenge to top.
