Belle Isle Beach House — Attraction in Detroit

Belle Isle has gotten SO much better. It's so much fun for the family. The traffic has gotten much better, the police make sure they have a presence both in car and on foot. I just love it. My best friend and I were able to bring our young children and have a picnic on the beach with no problem. Just keep an eye on the birds, they are relentless! They have a couple of food trucks right off the sand, they play music as well. The bathrooms seemed fairly clean, although my friend told me the toilets are kind of low I'm assuming that's a feature for smaller kids. All in all, it was a great day...

This beach is much better then metro beach as far as the condition of the beach as it relates to dead fish and birds only problem is none of the plumbing works, there are no working beach showers, and none of the faucets work so you have no way of rinsing off the sand from your feet or body, the bathrooms are very smelly and unappealing, please improve the bathroom conditions and the...

The beach was pretty clean at least enough to swim. The views are very pretty. The whole park as a destination maybe a little questionable. The huge playground park is not in good shape with lots of trash. Kind of sad. I could imagine what it used to look like when my aunts used to go there. Must have been spectacular once...
