U.S. Border Patrol - Detroit Station — Attraction in Detroit

Avoid this border if you can. Take any other ones- officers have a huge power ego, unsure why as all other borders I went to, officers are sound. Like others they will open very few lanes but this seems standard across all upon reading other reviews! I had an issue with a VISA and ESTA, they couldn’t understand it properly so they didn’t even fix it properly I had an issue again upon re entrance but New York border sorted it for me properly. I also got manhandled intensely for finger prints when it wasn’t needed. Was pointed to repeatedly instead of being referred by a more appropriate title. The list of grievances goes on. Probably one of the rudest agents I have ever met in my life. Incredibly disrespectful to me and my mother and sister. Answered all questions given coming from Canada to the US (heading back home). Even after passports were given and questions were answered he acted as if we were trying to smuggle something into the country. I have never met someone as rude as him. I would rather drive the extra hour and a half coming back and go through Buffalo then save the time and go back through here. Awful...

From the looking at the reviews, most people think the Border Patrol Agents (green uniform) are CBP Officers (blue uniform) at the bridge. U.S. Border Patrol (USBP), though part of CBP, work between the Ports of Entry, so you will rarely see them at the Tunnel or at the bridges inspecting travlers. USBP mainly deal with illegal entries, not people presenting themselves for inspection at a bridge/tunnel...
