We were in town visiting friends in Stroudsburg last weekend and took advantage of the unseasonable warm weather to cross this falls off our bucket list. When we got to the "park" we initially drove past the main parking area up to just before the bridge and parked off to the side and hiked down the side of the mountain because I heard falls and were treated to a smaller upper falls that appeared to be relatively secluded and not heavily hiked judging from the lack of trails. After taking a few photos we ventured down to the main area and lucked out to score a parking spot as a car was just pulling out (sheer luck as this place was pretty packed on Saturday). The trails are clearly marked and each leads to a different vantage point. We went with the middle trail that led to the mid point in the falls and provided awesome photo ops. There is also an upper viewing area that has steps leading up to it and another trail that I'll assume leads to the very bottom of the falls but since hubby and I were battling a cold we just weren't up for the additional hiking but we will definitely be sure to check it out on our next visit. I would consider the middle trail easy to moderate due to having to trek back uphill but certainly easy enough for all skill levels. The trails are blocked with fencing to protect the natural area but I feel it takes away from the goal as it makes it feel institutional and cage like, not at all like you're hiking through an amazing wooded wonderland. It clearly states online that dogs are not allowed so we left our golden back in our hotel room but upon arriving we saw many people hiking with their pets so I guess it just depends on the season and if there are...

An amazing falls and easily accessible for many age. Parking is bit rougher and on busy days on site parking is not allowed. You have to park your car in Milford knob and shuttle will take you to parking near Raymond skill falls area. Distance from Milford knob to Raymond skill is 3 mile one way and there is a trail you can do. As such distance from Raymond skill parking to upper cascade is .2 mile and round trip would be .4 mile. There are two ways you can go to falls , one which takes on right side of restroom area will take you to top and from there you can down on rock steps (for some it might be a challenge and Rainy days it might be slippery). One which on left side of restroom area was gravel paved walking path and can take stroller too. There is benches on the way not a lot of benches but few in the trail and on spot of water falls. There was portable potty toilet on parking, also there is a restroom but was closed instead there was a portable potty.(May be due to long weekend). Water looks bit dirty and swimming is not allowed. We witnessed a bear and baby bear nearby parking and so consider while planning. There is no picnic table or area so may not advice on bringing food here. There is a trash cans on the parking area. Shuttle take approx 10 min one way and the last shuttle is 4 pm from knob to parking. This time might Various and check...

Ok. So maybe its a lot better during the rainy season but it was not quite worth the 2.5 hour drive. If you are in the area it is probably worth it because the park is decent as a whole. There is a nice little area where you can sit and have a picnic like this one family was doing. But I would not recommend this as a day trip worthy destination. There are other falls near by that offer a little more viewing pleasure but one is closed for the season already and the other charges $22 per person. So if you go during the season when everything is open and plan to see everything these areas have to offer then absolutely go spend the 25-30 minutes it might take to see Raymondskill falls. I just dont find it impressive enough for the trip. Oh and the Bathrooms there have to be the most toxic smelling bathrooms of all time. You have to keep the lid closed on the toilet when not in use and when you open it, it feels like your face is about to melt off and you have to dodge all the gnats and bugs coming out of the hole. Don't say I didnt warn ya. Use the bathroom somewhere else before going!! I can see the beauty it offers but there are much more interesting falls in Pennsylvania. At least...

Day trip from NJ to PA idea!🌲😆 Located in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in Eastern Pennsylvania lies Dingmans Falls and Raymondskill Falls! Both of these waterfall trails are right over the Sussex County, NJ border, making them a great day trip from North and Central Jersey. Dingmans Creek Trailhead is a relatively short and easy trail that leads to Dingmans Falls, located in the town of Dingmans Ferry, PA. This trail does not allow pets except for trained service dogs, and is free to enter. They have a visitor center at the parking lot, and the trail offers views of the Silverthread Falls and Dingmans Falls. Swimming is not permitted. #dingmansfalls Raymondskill Falls can be seen from the Raymondskill Falls Trailhead located in Milford, PA. There are two lots off of Raymondskill Road that can be utilized. Note: on weekends from 10 am to 4 pm, between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the only way to access the trailhead is by taking their free shuttle service, and during those times, the lots will be closed off. If you plan to visit at those times, you can park at the Milford Knob Trailhead (also known as the North Contact Station), and the shuttle will pick you up and take you over to the Raymondskill Falls Trailhead, and then drop you back off where you were picked up. This shuttle runs every 20 minutes. The Raymondskill Falls Trailhead is relatively short and easy to the upper viewing platform, and if you want to see the waterfall from the bottom platform, you will need to walk down some rugged stairs. Swimming and pets are not permitted. #raymondskillfalls Happy exploring 🌲☺️
