Hummer is a great little spot that covers most things you'd do at a park. Best of all, it has a large paying lot right there - no hunting for a spot on the street then hoping no one runs you over while you unbuckle the kids from their car seats.
It has several benches and picnic tables, plenty of nice playground equipment for kids of all ages, and swings for both younger and older kids. There are lots of shade trees to stretch out under on a blanket with a good book - my personal favorite - and a large grassy area for the kids to run around or everyone to play frisbee or such.
The only thing it lacks is walking paths. Unsurprising, as it's in the middle of a residential area, but if that's what you want, this isn't the place. There is plenty of room to walk around in the grass, but the sidewalk doesn't even loop around the park. That's its...

It is well shaded except during mid-afternoon. There are plenty of trees and extra greenspace to keep it cool. There are two large playgrounds for kids 2-5 and 5-12. Your kids will find anything they want to find here. There is ample greenspace for running around if you don't want to be on the playground. There are drinking fountains and maintained restrooms. Plenty of parking is available in a parking lot OFF the street.
