Great to have a family owned & operated coffee shop alternative at Downers Grove/Westmont border just North of the Fairview BNSF train station. Beans are roasted on premise. Setting is comfortable-industrial, steel & wood high tops w/ wood backed stools in a brightly lit interior. Plenty of indoor seating & spots for laptop warriors. No outdoor seating. WiFi. "No Public Restrooms", but if you must... employees will allow you to... . Coffee, creative blended drinks, Rishi brand teas, friendly staff. Brewed coffee options were only a medium roast (regular & decaf). Flavor profile was tasty but indistinct. The coffee to water ratio likely need to be increased for the drip, or the drip rate of flow reduced to get a more robust flavor. Lavender latte with honey was sweet & creamy with a great, not over-powering lavender taste. We'll definitely return & recommend.

Just left roasted elements. We saw someone comment on this on next door neighbor. And as soon as we saw that it was a local roaster, we were in. Great place, small, tucked away, friendly. Felt like I was at home. Coffee was good, espresso strong, and my Cherry Garcia cookie was delicious. Perfect balance of cherries and chocolate! Anne was running the place and she was sweet as pie and explained everything since it was our first time there. Definitely will be back! Thanks Anne! Greg and Dorothy

The cutest little coffee shop with fun Chemistry theme! Our baristas were so sweet & showed us a very thorough secret menu with a lot of yummy flavors like banana bread, cinnamon roll, French toast, blueberry maple, etc. They also had an extensive fall menu (yum!) and an element of the week coffee flavor. Several high top tables & a couch were available so you could hang out for a while. Wish we were local so that we could come back more often!!

Positives: really nice on the inside. Could definitely bring my laptop here and work. More affordable than s'bucks.

Negatives: coffee was comparable to Starbucks... Kind of bitter, but very strong. Not drinkable black. The matcha latte, which was why I really went, was weak.

I recommend that the business improves on their matcha latte. And make the outside a little more appealing to get more business. You would never guess it was so nice...
