Patriot's Park (AKA referred to as Barth Pond years ago) is a wonderful place that caters to people of all ages which is great! It has also been my childhood park and is now my family's next generation childhood park too!! So I've been a frequent visitor over the last 30ish years and still am to this day! I would definitely recommend this park to others! They have done multiple Expansions and improvements the park itself and the the most recent expansion of the bridge! So we already visited already! This is our regular local park that we go to very frequently and it is always and it in fun and always had great family moments and fun times there, very clean, big Pond, walking/bicycle path that runs all around the pond! It is quite a beautiful place to get in a nice walk around the pond, get some free time alone or with the entire family, meet up with friends to fish, or use the path to workout, etc. (I think a little less than...

This is a beautiful park. Been coming here for a few years. It has a nice walking track around, great for a biking, jogging, dog walking or just a stroll. The history behind the name of the lake is interesting too. Lots of benches to sit and an absolutely phenomenal place for fishing. Practice catch and release please. It's stocked with bass, bluegill, walleye, carp and some chunky Catfish. There maybe more. The only downside is that there's dog poop almost everywhere. Another downside is there's no trash bin on the east side of the park by the parking lot(not the one with the swings) this makes people stuff their trash in the fishing line bin. Besides that this is a lovely place to visit with family or just for some alone time. Ample parking, toilets. Definitely...

A lovely park which is centered around a large pond, it has walking trails all the way around the pond. It has really nice, well kept grassy areas which are great for picnicking or relaxing on the south and east sides of the park. There is also a stone paved area on the east end of the pond, which is a great place to fish from. Parking off of 55th Street is available on both the east and west ends of the park, with a large playground area by the west end parking lot. The east side of the park is great spot to sit and watch a gorgeous sunset...

A bit too much rain for the faux coyotes at Patriot Park. When less water it is a very pretty park to walk around the pond. There are lots of benches on the south side of park, but none that I know of on the north side. 55th St can sounds a bit busy but we usually walk the path nearest the water. It would be nice to post a large sign at entrance to parking lots notifying the wooden bridge is non-passable. My 87yo father didn't know and walked all the way around park to find out he had too go all the way back.

Patriots Park in Downers Grove, IL, holds a special place in my heart. Growing up just down the street, I have countless fond memories here. From the excitement of fishing derbies to the joy of snowball fights and endless hours playing in the park, this place is a treasure trove of childhood nostalgia. The park is beautifully maintained, offering a serene escape and a perfect spot for families. Whether you're looking to fish, play, or simply relax, Patriots Park is an absolute gem in our community.
