My son and I snowboard and I decided to try out Trollhaugen for the first time a few weeks ago. The mountain has a lot of runs for beginners and those still learning their "S" turns etc. Also the mountain was bigger than what we are use to and the trail runs are longer which was awesome too. Feels like I am snowboarding through the woods! I especially appreciated the staff who helped fixed my sons snowboard when a bolt came off. I even purchased a new coat from their store and I love it! The restaurant area is huge, but we ate outside due to the pandemic. Food tasted pretty good too especially their soup. The parking lot is huge and didn't have the stress of finding a parking spot. A couple of things that I didn't like were that they were not enforcing the mask policy. There would be like around a hundred people or more waiting in line for the lift and only 50% wearing a mask. Not safe especially since the signs say that a mask is required. Lift operators were not enforcing masks either. They didn't seem to care. Also one of their employees operating the lift at the top of the mountain was sitting in the little shack smoking. Thought that was a bit unprofessional especially if they cater to families. Seen a lot of empty beer, soda and energy drink cans and other trash too at the top of the mountain and on the trails. Had to maneuver around it with our boards. Also the "two seater" chairlift is a bit rough. It hurt getting on and I fell getting off it. The operator never stopped the machine. The kids getting off next ran smack into me. Had to go to a chiropractor after that. Glad I hear they are replacing it with a 4 seater one though! Overall we did like Trollhaugen and had a great day there. We hope they enforce their mask policy better and/or train their employees better. We would definitely go back in that case, unless Wisconsin removes their statewide mask policy. Also I would love to bring my 4.5 year old daughter there for ski lessons sometime, but the website says parents need to have some experience in skiing as well and wear skis too during the lesson? We don't enough have ski experience but our daughter has been taking lessons at another resort and they don't require the parents to put on equipment. Just wondering more clarification on the rules for kids...

I had a snowboard rental and received a shorter board because the snowboards were “all reserved.” I had to go back and swap it out…they will argue, make it challenging, and even suggest skiis. I paid for a rental that fits me. I do not care if you have an inventory problem, it’s your job to have the equipment to 1. operate and 2. a surplus for use cases such as these. -1 star.
You can’t get a beer to save your life!!! -1 star. Old People - why do y’all stand around the bar with drink in hand? get your drink, and find a place to sit down away from the bar so customers can order. If you’re a regular…the bartender doesn’t need to talk to you all night. We go to specific places for that. Bartenders - no your customers seated at the bar don’t need “another one” when you have customers in line and standing right behind them who haven’t even had their first. I spent 15 min, politely waiting at the counter. I told my friends to tell me what they would like - simply because I will not inconvenience them to stand in the same line which took forever. Now as a result, I am holding a spot at the counter for more than just 1 drink. Do you see the issue? I did and I don’t even work there. 1 drink per ID was the theme, excluding the “my daddy is sat right over there can I pretty please get a third Busch light”
Friendly Staff (minus the bartenders you can’t even get to which is a management problem, not a staff problem).
Food - I didn’t have any! I blame the lines (you should blame the general manager)
Slopes & Chairlifts - Lines at every chairlift, goes decently quick

I promise it will be the worse choice you’ll ever make. My son was found unresponsive. His girlfriend called me to tell me. she was panicking so I asked to speak to an adult. She then handed the phone to a girl that was the same age as her, who couldn’t give me any answers, couldn’t even tell me the status of my son. The phone was then handed to an older woman by the name be be of Lori I asked her a bunch of questions. She got super frustrated, and started yelling at me as if I was bothering her with my questions and she absolutely got cussed out. then talk to a man named Bill, who literally was an angel in my ear. He told me even the small bits of what he could tell me. He was calm and very informative. If he had to let me go, he would call me back 10 minutes later with any small update that he could give me. Bill, if you’re reading this, there’s no words that I could ever say to thank you enough For the kindness that you provided for myself and his Girlfriend in the worst time! If I could give you the biggest hug I would, there are not enough thank you’s in this world. You’ll forever be part of our story! Hey Lori “Grandma” as everyone was calling you… I was that scared mom that just wanted answers, even the smallest ones! But I also want to inform you.. that, even though I wasn’t there and my son was non-responsive, he could specifically hear you the “old lady with the gray hair” talk bad about me and he said, and I quote “I was trying to flick her off but my body wouldn’t move” shame on you! I hope you never treat a scared parent with unkindness again! The GM did call to get an update on my son and...
