They recently opened back up after being closed due to COVID-19. They had some trouble with their online reservation system, but they were persistent and got us registered. We did the aerial course, not the ziplines (though the aerial course has small ziplines in it). The staff did a great job social distancing. Explained how to put the harness on ourselves and how to navigate the course. My 7yo niece said it was the best day of her life (she can be a bit dramatic, but that still means she had loads of fun). My teenage son went off on his own and did the export course. He enjoyed the challenge but said it was hard on his hands, so I recommend if you are going to do the more difficult course, perhaps bring well-fitting leather gloves for added protection. They do provide cloth gloves. They did not have child size gloves when we were there, so if you have small children, consider picking up some basic kids sized garden gloves for them beforehand. Expect to sandwich any smaller children between two adults as it sometimes requires assistance, though our 7yo might have been ok after the first course (she figured out how to hook herself in and out, just needed help a few times when the line was well above her head). Overall, we had a blast and would highly recommend it. Stop in Taylor Falls and get some ice...
Read moreWe made our 3rd annual trip to Trollhaugen Adventure Park on Father’s Day, where my wife and I enjoyed the 6 ziplines with our youngest granddaughter, aged 9. She was the only one in our group of 7 plus 2 guides to get a perfect shot into the corn hole from the last zip-line. After a short break with a sandwich and Oreo Snowdrift my granddaughter and I took on the Challenge course, her third and my second visit. So we completed a yellow, then the hardest green, followed by the medium blue course. She found the cargo net a bit challenging for her limited upper body strength, but was talked through it by our guide. Tall for age at 5’2” she says she’ll work on upper body strength some and hopes to grow another 3” by the year after next, if not sooner so we’ll be ready to advance to the Black level. We had a great day! Our guide, Tammie, and others were all friendly and very helpful. We always have a wonderful time at Trollhaugen, and then enjoy an early dinner at Tippy Canoes in Osceola, before returning to the Twin...
Read moreI want to give a big shout out to what we saw with the employees working yesterday morning on the challenge course! A family with many kids came and a couple of the little ones weren't so sure about heights, they probably should have started on the ground course. The employees were doing their best to make them feel safe and get them across but 1 just still couldn't do it so the employee let the parents take the rest of the kids through and the employees were doing their best to make sure the boy still had a great time and build up his confidence on the ground course!...
