We came and stayed here for a USSSA tournament for the weekend at their campground.

When we arrived, we were greeted with the most foul smelling trash that smelled like dead animals. Half of the trash bins at the campground were completely full and filled with flies and maggots from the rotting old food. Only 1 RV site was occupied with a horse trailer and that site had a lot of horse manure on it and that site was another hot fly location. The power/water set up at the park is beyond optimal and a lot of sites are suited for pull in’s than back in. There were 5+ dump stations at the park and a bathroom nearby, no showers like a traditional campground.

The park I would give 4 stars, campground would be a 1 star only if it was an actual campground and nothing else.

The playground at the park was nice, but someone was having a birthday party at the pavilion and the kids intentionally took cupcakes and smeared it over a lot of the playground and they left trash all over the playground and the parents had zero intentions of cleaning it up.

The baseball fields are nice, they just need more concrete inside the parks to really clean it up. I guess the hurricane destroyed all of the shade over the bleachers, because there was no fabric on them covering it.

All in all, it has the potential to be a top rated park, but they just need to focus a little more on what they have.

Enjoy the drone pictures...

Stopped off 16 in search for play area for my son to take a break from the car. The ball and equestrian/agriculture parks look nice, and there’s some kind of water park, which I’m sure is great given the south GA heat, but the playground has seen much better days. Noted several serious hazards for kids, which had me on my toes the whole time. The play tower connected to the playground is basically out of commission, with the giant slide blocked off by plywood due to cracks/holes in the slide, and whatever apparatus was attached to the other side of the tower having been completely removed….though rusty metal posts with sharp sides remain (pictured). The grated play ground flooring is also rusting out, (where my foot is placed in the photo) I think i could have gone through it if I’d placed all my weight on it. This playground is not safe, it’s a liability to the city/county and it needs to be closed...

We went for state baseball tournaments and the field themselves are nice. They were turf so it was extremely hot and the balls bounced more than our players were used to. I loved how the bleachers had the shade, it was so nice! But the bathrooms were so stuffy and hot. I will say that they were at least clean, but it felt like you were in an oven using the bathroom.

We camped at the campsites at the park and it was decent. The hook up on 17 is on the wrong side so if you don't have an extension cord you are out of luck. Thankfully site 18 was open still so we switched spots to be able to have power.

The park itself was huge and overall it was nice and well worth a visit if you are...
