Scott Hudgens Park — Attraction in Duluth

It is a beautiful park behind an office park, that is generally being used by local soccer club Atlanta Fire United. Not much use to the general public outside of soccer matches as the playing surfaces are fenced off and the remaining fields are just pasture land.

1 star because I couldn’t give it ZERO stars. This park is always closed, and seems to be exclusively used for soccer. This is a shame as the land was donated to the public. Gwinnett County already has very few open spaces to be enjoyed with all the apartments and shop malls we don’t need being built , but when we have a park , it’s closed 99.9% of the time and POLICE ENFORCE the closure. That’s right, police ENFORCE the closure of a large open grass field, do we not have more important things to enforce?? Shame on Duluth for this, and SHAME ON WHOEVER ELSE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MANAGING THIS “PARK” !!!! Nice to see the public tax dollars going towards a facility the...

Look, if you're going to do sports fields and they are laid out lengthwise rather than central, you really should have facilities accessible at more than just the one end of the fields. Granddaughter missed the beginning of the second half of her match because she needed to use the facilities during the half... and she RAN and wasn't goofing around (I went with her). Really hope the league looks around for other facilities that accommodate all the needs for players and their families. (Also, no handicapped spaces available at...
