It took about 3ish hours and the water was fairly cold. Things you should bring: A float (fairly cheap at outdoor stores, made by Intex) and make sure to inflate it well. Use an electric inflator Sunscreen A paddle or something long to get you out of trees or rocks. Some water and snacks, maybe a speaker if you want music. Buy an extra float to put these on. Read moreThis trail is only for winter when poison ivy has died down or if you are wearing long pants. It’s very narrow, very overgrown and much of the vegetation is poison ivy. If you are wearing shorts, it’s nearly impossible even with extreme care and slowness to avoid it. I feel the parks service has somewhat dropped the ball here.
