Woahink Lake — Attraction in Dunes City

Do not book this place. The owner is a liar. I booked the place at the end of May for a mid August vacation, and was confirmed the next day by Gary Knipe, the host. 50 days later, just a month before the vacation, I received a refund notice from Vrbo that Gary canceled my reservation. I called Vrbo to inquire about the issue and was told that Gary had to cancel because of double booking. Wouldn't he know shortly after my reservation that it was double booked, instead of 50 days later? He is NOT an honest person and not a reliable host to do...

I just stumbled upon this place and found it to be absolutely amazing. I really like how shallow and Marias are so my dog whose a new swimmer could swim really nicely. The water is so beautiful and you can see through it really well. It seems really clean. The temperature and weather was just perfect. It wasn’t insanely busy. A very nice coastal lake... beautiful in the morning when the sun is just coming up. Paddled quite a bit in a kayak to include the drainage. Caution should be taken however, prevailing weather can change quickly and can make a low sided water craft vulnerable. Got married here in 2003 and celebrated many events in and around the area...very nice spot, highly recommended for all...
