Brook Run was always a great park. Now it's just downright impressive. And the speed of improvement and expansion of this awesome park is almost unbelievable. I mean, whoever has been in charge of the parks transformation in the last few years should should be recognized as the supreme god of parks and recreation. You know, if that was even a thing.

I was born in the 90s but grew up in the early 2000s'. It used to be a cool park back then, but in more of a Stephen King-esque way. I mean I kid you not, there were these abandoned spooky buildings that used to be an insane asylum. I had my first kiss there as a teenager and may or may not have puffed a couple clouds there too at that time. It was magical.

Now, as ab even more cynical "adult" in my late 20s, I go to visit this place after a few years and now it's like thud amazing endless maze of beautiful trails and a treetop quest thing! That's nuts. Every part of the park has improved. In every way. And I never realized how gigantic it was either, like where did all this space come from hidden in this seemingly small square footage of land. Skate park is still there too, very high quality skate park I might add.

I mentioned Stephen King, bur my intention wasn't to try to write one of his novels, so I'll just...

Brook Run Park is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Dunwoody, Georgia. Covering a sprawling 110 acres, this park offers a little something for everyone. The expansive green spaces are ideal for picnics, sports, and leisurely strolls. Dog owners will appreciate the well-maintained dog park, while children can expend energy at the impressive playground that features modern equipment and ample space.

One of the standout features is the skate park, which is well-designed and attracts both novice and experienced skaters. Fitness enthusiasts will find the walking and biking trails invigorating, and the exercise stations sprinkled throughout the park offer added value. The community garden is also a noteworthy inclusion, allowing residents to cultivate their own plants in a shared space.

The park's layout is thoughtfully designed to accommodate multiple activities without them overlapping or causing disturbances. Ample parking and clean restrooms contribute to an overall convenient and enjoyable experience. Whether you're a nature lover, a sports enthusiast, or just looking for a serene spot to unwind, Brook Run Park is an...

I've been to a few dog parks and I really like this dog park for several reasons:

  1. Some parks have a lot of grassy flat land and then a few benches or tables here or there for the humans to congregate to. This park has trees everywhere (lots of shade cover), uneven platforms of ground, logs on the ground, and benches everywhere in small groups throughout the park. There must be at least 50+ benches in this park. There's also a perimeter walking trail if you wanted to talk with your dog along a trail.

  2. My dog gets plenty of exercise not just running, but leaping the fallen trees and jumping up and down the platforms

  3. My dog loves to stay and play with some of the dogs in the "town center" area of the park, but then sometimes she'll see someone walking the perimeter and she'll hitch a few walks around the perimeter and come back to the town center. It's so flexible and easy for the dogs to not easily get bored.

  4. There are watering bins here so if you forget to bring water, you can use some from the bins. Same for doggie waste bags.

The only thing I'd say is that closer to the mosquito season, bring...
