This is a very basic park. It feels a little generous calling it a park, though. I use it as a trailhead for the Animas River Trail when I bike or go on a long run since it is the eastern endpoint of the 13.5 mile out & back trail (6.75 miles to the park at the other end at 32nd street). There is parking available in what amounts to an oversized figure eight, so it's parallel parking along the outer edge with easy entrance and exit. There is easy river access, and I have seen people fishing or using it to put in kayaks. There is a latrine here, but when I was there, it was especially smelly and the door latched but wouldn't lock (and bring your own hand sanitizer). There are also a few picnic tables, which because they are alongside the river, are actually pretty pleasant.
