American Village Park — Attraction in Durham

It doesn't seem like any effort has been put into maintaining this park after it was first built. It is in a nice location with a lot of trees around. I brought my kids here because this was the closest park to the Hilton. It is for kids under 8 years. The swings were good. There is a circular trail for the kids to walk around. Always a good time whenever we visit. Covered picnic table pavilion (though the trees provide a lot of shade on their own), a water fountain that works, play structure, swings, and a wobble-totter which looks like a teeter-totter, but is more safe.
