If I could give zero stars I would! This place is a big JOKE. First, I would like to say that I got what I thought was a deal on Groupon for two wrist bands ($21). I will never trust Groupon again after this horrific experience. When I drove up to the place, I was not impressed. What little faith I had in this place delivering "fun" was further squashed when I walked in to the joint. What a crap hole! This place must have been around from the fifties with NO recent renovations. The whole experience was a waste of my life and money. What a rip off! They nickle and dime you for EVERYTHING. The miniature golf was crappy...the whole course was old and rundown. It was atrocious! I felt as if I would fall through the floor of the place or hurt myself on their makeshift games. The only thing that was worth the time was the batting cages. However, you could hear a sigh and moan from the machine throwing the balls. Sort of sounded like me walking around the whole place. The place STANK (The Play Gym area smelled like a big ball of FUNK), it was old, rusty, and no fun at all. They had the nerve to say no outside food. Are you serious? After what I paid to get in, they should have allowed it. Besides, the stale looking food they had available would have probably upset my gut. It was really expensive and not worth a dime of what you would pay. I would go to Dave and Buster's or somewhere else that is much nicer! Don't waste you time on this hole in the wall dump!
P.S. Someone mentioned in a post that go karts were included in their purchase on Groupon for the $11/a piece wrist bands. They weren't with mine! They wanted to charge us for them. They stated that we could do everything else except the go karts...we had to pay up to ride those dusty things. You would think that with all of the monotone, boring, rude, attendees they had at this place, that they were guarding "gold" in the game areas. They would stalk you to make sure you had on a wristband. Everyone who gives this place the time of day should get in for "free"! I will NEVER GO BACK. If you do decide to go, maybe get a tetanus shot before you venture in there. The place is really...
Read morewe did a groupon deal for a $11 wristband for go karts, golf, batting cages and rollerskating. Upon entering to get our wristbands the kids immediately ran into the play area right next to it with a huge climbing area and giant ball pit. Great, except for the fact that we now had to pay $7 per kid so they could continue playing in the room. Golf course was kind of lame and the kids lost their balls every few holes so I had to keep walking back inside to get replacements. No attendants at the batting cages. My 8 yr old was swinging and got hit in the wrist by a ball. Took him inside immediately to get ice and the lady at the snack bar gave me a bag of ice but she or no one else in charge even asked what happened or if he was okay. After sitting there for 30 min icing it we decided to order a $12 pizza which was mediocre. I ordered and while I was pulling out my VISA to pay, the cashier was preoccupied texting on her phone. We took to the go karts next which were probably the most fun except the fact that we were the only ones using them and my friend and I had to take turns driving each of the kids so they never actually raced anyone else. Lastly we stopped at the roller rink which was sparsely staffed and after a grueling wait to get skates for 5 kids they spent about 10 min skating and were ready to go. I took my youngest to the snack bar for some popcorn and was surprised to see they were charging 50 cents for a cup of water! I had already paid $1.50 for an 8 oz cup of soda at lunch which was bad enough. Overall, the kids had an okay time and the place was a bit run down but I think the lack of staffing and customer service combined with that left me feeling I...
Read moreShort and simple review here. There are problems that can easily be addressed and I understand why it wasn't packed on a Sunday afternoon.
The Good Staff were great, facilities were clean, and equipment/floor in good condition. The lighting was great no matter where you were, and the carpet was perfect for people who are new to skating.
The Bad The following things need to be addressed or I don't see this place lasting long.
The music was way too loud. I love loud music, especially at a concert, but it was so loud that I downloaded a decibel app to get a rough idea and it was hanging around 94-106db. Anything over 85db is considered harmful especially with children. I'd say about half of the people there were kids under 10.
However, you aren't allowed to wear any earplugs, or headphones. We had to leave early because everyone was getting headaches.
The $25 pass is disingenuous at best and a scam at worst. This pass pays for your entrance, rental, and gives you what looks like a lot of video game time. It's like 5 games total. There's no air hockey, or normal video games. It's all tickets or grab machines.
How to address the issues: Buy a decibel meter off amazon and use to set your speaker outputs. Then place it by the DJ and keep it under 85. That's still plenty loud to drown out conversations and keep the party going.
Ditch the claw machines and put in more traditional games that people can gather around and cheer each other on. Even bowling alleys have air hockey. If that's not an option, the $25 option should be $20 max or it just...
