Always such an amazing place to come with your entire family. I love that we can bring our own food, drinks & lawn furniture with. It's very easy to spend 7 or 9 hours out here. The water is usually clean which is great. (River water) They only have a few dumpsters out by the entrance However. They have several trash bag stands throughout the park. U just grab a few bags for free and take your trash to dumpsters on your way out. I love this idea. There is also a great Frisbee Golf course out here. My Son has used it a lot. They rave about it. They have a few stands along the beach that houses a number of life preservers to borrow for the day. I absolutely love this idea as well. There are NO life guards on duty. However, The main beach area is roped off. With a bright yellow "Line" as the kids call it. It's a floatable & stationary booey that "fences in the water with the beach front as the 4th wall. U can se past the "Yellow line" But the water is deeper and more so used for paddle boards, floaties & experienced swimmers. Some of my pictures have this "Yellow line" in it for references.
There is a playground in the middle of the park. The playground is conveniently located between the beach & the water slide/Public bathrooms. PLEASE BE AWARE. ⚠️ 🔥 ⚠️ 🔥 ⚠️ The playground equipment can get DANGEROUSLY HOT. I've burnt my hand on the slide by simply checking for the temperature. 🔥 There is also a single waterside that is always super fun. I can't be positive on the pricing. I believe last summer it was $12.⁰⁰ for a wristband that has a total of 10 rides. U just pull off a single square & hand it thethe lifeguard when u get to the top Of the slide. U CAN also share the wristbands/squares. I believe that u can also buy individual ride tickets (Square)
They also have picnic tables throughout the park in the grass area. It's unlikely to find one available, especially if you don't get there early. Dogs are welcome as long as they stay on a leash. There are NO dogs allowed on the beach area OR the water though. They have a small store inside the park located between the Playground & the bathrooms. I haven't been in the store for years but it appears that they sell floaties. Not sure what else they sell. There is also a Snow cone stand behind the store which is in front of the water slide entrance. Be prepared to wait for 15 minutes. Its always super busy. 😉 They used to have a burger stand where the "store" is. But they closed that years ago. I'm quite surprised that they haven't reopened the food stand or a hotdog "Hot dog cart" It'd be a lucrative business opportunity. U are welcome to bring in coolers, foods & bevvys. We bring our own small portable grill in with us to bbq. Its always pretty packed on weekends. IF u haven't been to Eagle Island state park, I highly recommend that u come. There are also several stationary bbq's throughout the park 4 those who chose to not bring one in. (BYO CHARCOAL) They also have an "Air pump area" where u can pay to fill all of your floaties/paddle boards etc. I have NO idea what it costs to use the air pump. I'll assume that its used with quarters. There isn't anywhere where u can make change for quarters, So if u are planning to use the air pump, byo change. There is also a convenient store about 2 minutes outside of the entrance. Once u pay for your "car load" u are free to to exit & re:enter for that entire day. I believe the price went up to $7.⁰⁰ a day per car. ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT! This is such an amazing place to spend family fun time. Have a blast. Bring...
Read moreVisiting Eagle Island State Park was nothing short of a disillusioning ordeal. What I anticipated to be a refreshing escape into Idaho’s natural beauty quickly devolved into a murky nightmare. The water — if one can even dignify it with that term — was an abomination. Thick, stagnant, and choked with algae, it exuded a putrid stench that hit you like a wall before you even approached the shore. It looked more like a festering swamp than a body of water meant for public recreation. I watched, horrified, as unsuspecting families set up picnic blankets near the banks, only to recoil moments later, overwhelmed by the sour, fetid air and the sight of what appeared to be oily film drifting across the surface. The thought of anyone willingly submerging themselves in that cesspool is beyond comprehension. I wouldn’t let livestock wade through it, let alone children. It’s disgraceful — a dereliction of duty by whoever is tasked with maintaining this park. The entire place radiated neglect, as though the state simply gave up and hoped no one would notice. Eagle Island isn’t just uninviting; it feels borderline hazardous. I left not only disappointed, but genuinely angry that such a place is promoted as a family-friendly destination. Unless you have a taste for the grotesque and a stomach for decay, do yourself a favor and stay...
Read moreGreat time with the entire family!!! At only $5 per car!! So you can stuff 10 off your friends/family members in your 4-door car like it's a clown car and it's still only $5 to get in and go swimming lol. Dogs are even allowed. They have charcoal grills there but you're welcome to bring your own too. And they have a couple of huge, long slides that are SUPER FUN!!! They do cost extra though. However, there's an option to buy wrist bands for endless ride on the slides!! There are also public bathrooms for you to change in if you choose. The bathrooms have public showers with hot and cold water as well. They also have an area for going boating. As well as a RV/campground, also with showers that have hot and cold water. There are cabins too if that's more your style!! I'm sure there is more to do there that I'm not aware of so it's worth checking out their site to see what else they have to offer as well as they have over 500 acres of things to do. Hiking trails are available too!! So pick a day or a weekend to either, have a fun day or mini vaca with your friends and family, or plan a little getaway or honeymoon with your special someone!!!
