The site is very interesting to look at, and is fairly well maintained, but could do with a few improvements. Information signs would be nice too, though I fear they would be vandalized the same as the buildings have been.

It was exceptionally quiet when I visited, and the scale of this place is difficult to capture. A very cool slice of history for the area.

Nearby campsite feels vaguely abandoned and the play park is...

This area is nothing short of amazing. It has great view far & wide not to mention epic photo scenes. The history of these old ruins is extremely neat to learn. For those thinking of bringing there family, rest assured as there is maintained pit toilets & a playground for the kids, plus it's less then 5 mins from Dragerton, Sunnyside & East Carbon city for all your needs or there's also Wellington that's...

It's off the beaten path but it was pretty cool. We were the only ones there. Road in was okay but once you get there I would pull all the way in past the outhouse to the east end. Mind blowing historic site. The ruins of over 800 ovens lie scattered on the landscape. The unique back to back beehive design is truly unique. Walk around the old railway station and other buildings and be careful not to disturb anything. There are also several ATV trails near here to enjoy.
