Came here at night and immediately left. The roads to the campgrounds were really windy with multiple large rocks that could easily damage your tires, and the campsites themselves were really rocky as well. The sites could be possible for rv camping, but if you were using a tent like us, your time would be better spent somewhere else. They also had large bags of trash that were completely full and overflowing before we even got there.
When we tried leaving the site, we had a hard time getting out. The turns themselves are kind of awkward, but our car also kept sliding off the road.
More than anything else, however, this campsite was simply creepy. There was nobody else around, there was an old abandoned building that had been vandalized, there were dismembered deer parts, it was almost 20 degrees colder than the surrounding areas, the location is in the middle of nowhere, we lost service once we arrived, and even just finding the campsites themselves proved difficult. Read moreApproximately 10 sites with fire rings picnic tables and mostly level pads. A little dirty beer cans about small pieces of trash. Trash barrels full and overflowing. Kids play ground that some locals came by to use. Some old bldgs to explore plus a couple hundred kilns. There’s one on the back side that’s still complete. Free for now but it needs a nitely fee to pay for maintenance which is needed. O almost forget deer parts laying around....
